Card Sketch #47

It's card sketch day on the Sketches! {by Tamara} blog. Here is my card for card sketch #47. Be sure to check out the designs by the other card designers. They are all fantastic this week! I was totally inspired by the ki Memories shimmer patterned paper. I adhered a panel on kraft cardstock, and I added American Crafts ribbon around the card front. The "Thanks!" and the butterfly are from a little acrylic set that I got for my birthday from my blogging friend Patsy. I used colored pencils and gamsol on the butterfly. I did a lot of chalk ink distressing on all of the paper pieces. I'm very pleased with the way this card turned out.

It's going to be so HOT and HUMID today. Ugh! It's overcast and there is a threat of thunderstorms. Oh well! We'll have to figure out some fun stuff to do inside today. I'm sure we'll manage! I hope the weather is better where you're at! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

    Cute card Carol! Its disgustingly hot here as well. I had to sneak out of the house because I was desperately craving some ice cream, and as soon as I walked outside the humidity hit me. We had horrible storms here yesterday (even had a tornado touch down) and they're calling for more today. :( Hope you guys have a great day inside!

    Great card Carol! It's been way too long since I've been to see you. It will take me a while to get caught up here. :) The weather is gorgeous here...mid 70's and humidity is not an issue here. LOVE that! :) HUGS!

    This is a great card and love the ribbon on it. I've got to practice adding ribbon like this. Doesn't work too well for me.
