Hello out there!

Life has been busy, busy, BUSY!  It's all about marching band, crazy hours, applying for colleges, etc.  Sometimes I don't even know what day it is!  It's a thrill when I have time to create!  Here are a few layouts that I've created recently!

Wow, wow, wow, I love the way this layout turned out!  This is Maggie Holmes by Crate Paper.  Love this collection!  This photo is from last year's Homecoming, not the one that just took place.  I really love this wonderful photo of a great group of beautiful girls!  I really played up the blue, the green, and the purple!  Love this!

More Crate Paper on a layout about me being 47.  The girls went out and got me a big cookie, and they did sing to me!  I was just standing in the kitchen holding the cookie, and the girls did snap some pics of me!  My girls are the best!  Birthdays seem to come by alarmingly fast lately!  Inside the Maya Road envelope is my journaling . . . basically it's all about how I never imagined my life at 47 like it really is.  That's OK, it's just hard to wrap my mind around it sometimes!

Last is a layout I created for a white plus one other color challenge.  I don't like white, so I wasn't going to do the challenge, but then I came across some pics my Dad just recently gave me, and it came together for me.  I had a lot of fun layering a bunch of white.  I embossed a lot of it.  That's me way back when in 1980 graduating from 8th grade.

Let's Post Some Layouts!

Wow, I go for a LONG time without updating my blog, but I don't think anyone is noticing!  LOL!  That's OK!  I've been scrapping when I have time, and it's been FUN!

Looking at colleges with the girls was SO MUCH FUN!  I had to scrap some of the many photos I took during this road trip. This layout features Amy Tangerine!  I love this collection!  :)

This layout features an older collection . . . Just Chillin' by Making Memories!  Love these bright colors!

That's me when I made my First Communion!  This is Crate Paper DIY Shop!

This is just a fun mix of manufacturers including Hambly, Glitz, and Teresa Collins.  I love how this turned out!  Fun and vibrant, just like Jessica!  :)

This is Simple Stories!  Pretty much a crazy design on this layout, but that's OK!  I got a ton of photos on it!

I love self-portraits!  I really do!  These are the ones I took on Mother's Day.  It was a strange Mother's Day, because I really just wanted to see my mom.  Sad that I couldn't.  Miss her a lot!  :(

I just finished this one today!  It's based on a sketch Bev posted at Memorable Seasons.  I love these Christmas knickknacks!  Glad I finally scrapped about them!

This is for another challenge at Memorable Seasons.  We had to blindly pick three papers and scrap with them.  I thought my pick was awful, until I found these photos of the girls.  These papers then really worked for me, but I also credit the trio of BIG flowers!  They really pulled this layout together!

Layouts

Here's a few layouts that I've created recently.  I love just pulling out supplies I want to use and creating what I want to create without having to issue a challenge or try to complete a challenge!  I love scrapping for the FUN of scrapping!

I used two DCWV stacks.  The first layouts uses the Old World Stack which is seriously one of the best stacks I've ever purchased.  The last layout uses a newer stack called Snapshot.  It's a very fun stack!  The middle layout is based on a sketch that I received and it's just a bunch of random products.  The feather really makes the layout in my opinion!

More Simple Stories Urban Traveler

My last DT kit for Memorable Seasons consisted of Simple Stories Urban Traveler.  I love the colors in this collection, and just because it's travel-themed, doesn't mean it doesn't work for other projects!

I created this and it hangs on the knob of the armoire in our family room!  You've been warned!  I have a camera, and I'm not afraid to use it!

I used a travel collection to create a Christmas layout!  I love these self-portraits I snapped on Christmas Eve with my sister Susan and my brother Tom!  I love the way this layout turned out!

We were challenged by the AMAZING Colette to use a chalkboard background and a chalkboard font, and then her second challenge was to scrap a self-portrait.  I loved both challenges, and I decided to combine them!  Colette does a lot of those dotty circles, so I copies those too!  I think this layout is really fun, and I love those chalkboard fonts!  The lattice is by Jillibean Soup . . . very cool!

Two-Page Layout with Trendsetter!

I love Fancy Pants Trendsetter!  I haven't done a two-page layout is SO LONG, but I saw a fabulous double page layout by the amazing Becky Fleck of PageMaps fame! This is one of the May 2013 sketches:

So, I decided to document the passage of time. This is "A Year In The Life". I added the ". . . well almost", because that last photo was taken when Emily was 11 + months! Just shy of one year old!

This is my SWEET Emily who is now 17 years old!  Isn't she a CUTIE!?!

Neglected Blog!

March DT Kit!

I got a FUN mixed up kit as my March kit from Memorable Seasons!  I'm having fun with it!  It featured lots of different manufacturers!  Here's what I've made so far!

The card was made for my wonderful Emily who turned 17!  I can't believe it!  I am still having fun and playing with this kit!  I will post more soon!  Come and hang out at Memorable Seasons!  You will not be disappointed!  It's a fun group of ladies!

February DT Kit!

 I LOVE my February DT kit from Memorable Seasons!  ♥  It features Pink Paislee's Secret Crush!

I snapped this photo of my Mom & Dad on Christmas Eve.  It's sad how much has changed for my Mom since this photo was taken.  It makes me happy that I got this photo taken!  My Mom looks so happy in this photo, and seeing joy on her face lately is a rare thing.  However, I hope and pray for better days ahead for her.  When I want to see true love, I don't need to look any further than my own Mom & Dad.

I also created this cute card!  Fun stuff!

One Little Word - 2013

It just came to me.  I wasn't going to do it, but now I think I will.  I'm going to embrace one little word for 2013.

My word is:

EVOLVE

This year will be a year where I will be evolving into the person that I'm supposed to be.  There are many changes ahead for me.  Changes I cannot control, and yet, many changes that I can.  I need to constantly evolve.  Into a happier person, a better mom, a healthier ME.  This will be a year of changes.  I hope a lot of them are good and bring me joy.  We'll see!
