Spring Break 2014

Do you ever create a layout that is totally FUN to create and you have a smile on your face the entire time you're creating it?  That was this layout for me!  I used the FABULOUS sketch on the MME blog that really inspired everything about this layout!  I used tons of Miss Caroline products.  I just love this!  Makes me HAPPY!

This layout also works for a couple of other challenges.  One at Frosted Designs and one at My Scraps & More.  You gotta love when one layout works for multiple challenges!

Thanks for stopping by!  :)

Having FUN creating layouts!

I recently completed a couple of fun layouts!  The first one is all Crate Paper Maggie Holmes.  I had a lot of fun using a bunch of frames.  Love the photo of Emily and Jessica jumping in the air on Coronado Beach!

The next layout is Emily dressed up as Woody for Social 2014.  She's adorable!  I cannot believe I had bandanna ribbon!  I forgot I even owned that, and I just happened to glance at it while I was creating the layout.  Interesting coincidence!

I love when I get time to scrap!  Everything is very busy right now, but I squeeze in the creative time when I can!  Thanks for stopping by!

Best Friends!

This is Emily and her best friend, Teresa, all dressed up for Homecoming!  Aren't they beautiful!?!  SENIORS!  I used some older stuff on this layout including some Basic Grey that I've had for a long time.  I also had fun misting some Pink Paislee Artisan pieces including the flowers and the scallop canvas ribbon.  I wanted to add more silver, so I outline the paper layers in silver Sharpie.  Looks cool in person!

Scrapping! :)

I am having fun scrapping when I can!  I couldn't wait to cut into my Amy Tangerine Plus One Collection.  I couldn't decide what patterned paper I wanted to use for layering, so instead I used a whole bunch of them in a pieced pattered paper frame around the background.  Love how this turned out!

I created this layout for a challenge to create a layout of something that you love, but the layout could not have a photo of a person or a pet on it.  I've always loved the line from Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast.  If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."  I had the black, red, and white quoted printed out for such a long time, I decided to build a whole layout around it!

I created this layout for a challenge to use another language on a layout, which was the perfect challenge for these photos of the girls getting inducted into the Spanish Honor Society.

This was a sparkle challenge.  I'm finally scrapping Jessica's freshman year Homecoming photo from 2011!

Finally, this layout was just for FUN!  I pin inspirational quotes on Pinterest, and these are some of my recent favorites.  I thought it would be a cool idea to create a layout featuring some of them!  I used another Amy Tangerine collection!

I love when I get time to create!  Thanks for stopping by!

FUN layouts!

Here are some recent layouts.

What I love about this first layout is that it's just a layout I wanted to create.  It's not for a challenge, it's doesn't go with a sketch, it's just something I wanted to create.  When did I lose that whole doing what I want to do?  I need to do that more often!  I'm trying to do more Emily layouts lately.  She'll be graduating and going off to college before I know it, so I want to make a big dent in her high school layouts!  I love creating marching band layouts.  They make me happy, and I love everything about this one!  :)

This layout features Jessica and her girlfriend Sedona all dressed up for a wedding that they were going to.  I pulled out a very old collection by American Crafts to scrap these photos!  Gorgeous girls!

Wow, this last layout was tough to scrap.  This is one of Emily's SENIOR portraits.  Cindy did a great job with her photos, but I'm happy and proud to say that this is a photo that I shot with my point and shoot digital camera.  Not too shabby if I do say so myself!  Look at that beautiful intelligent young woman!  I could not be more proud of her!

I am going to create more just for me!  Yippee!  So excited!  I want to create just for the fun of it.  No sketches, no challenges, just all ME!

Sisters!

Here's a fun layout I created with some cute photos of the girls on Emily's birthday!  This layout is based on sketch #63 at My Scraps & More!  I used the Pink Paislee Portfolio collection, some Hambly, and various bits and pieces!

It's so awesome when I actually get time to create a layout!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

Creating!

I seriously do not think anyone visits my blog anymore, and that's totally OK, but I'll update it anyway with a couple of layouts I created this week, two of them last night!  FUN activity for New Year's Eve!

This is Simple Stories The Daily Grind.  LOVE this collection!  Last year I'll have a photo with both of my girls on back to school day!  Time is going by too quickly!

Jessica is the section leader of the mellophones in the marching band, and they are such a FUN section!  The title is *Mostly Mellos! because each photo has a non-mello members pretty much photo bombing the photo!

I had fun with my mists on this one!  I painted with them!  This is the senior t-shirt!  I cannot believe I have a senior who is graduating in 2014!  Seriously, time, slow down!  She's a beauty, and I love Emily with all my heart!  I couldn't be more proud of the amazing young lady she has become!

So, there you have it!  Layouts!  I haven't scrapped in so long with how busy everything has been!  It was fun to be creative again!  HAPPY 2014!  Make it a great year!  Thanks for stopping by!  :)
