Spring Break 2014
Do you ever create a layout that is totally FUN to create and you have a smile on your face the entire time you're creating it? That was this layout for me! I used the FABULOUS sketch on the MME blog that really inspired everything about this layout! I used tons of Miss Caroline products. I just love this! Makes me HAPPY!
This layout also works for a couple of other challenges. One at Frosted Designs and one at My Scraps & More. You gotta love when one layout works for multiple challenges!

Memorable Seasons Blog Hop!
So . . . . here's what I have for you today! I love Memorable Seasons, and I love all of the wonderful friends that I've made on the site! I'm kinda a rebel, so instead of posting just a sneak peek, I'm just posting a full look at a card that I made with my new September DT kit! I want YOU to know that I am thankful for YOU! Each and every one of YOU! ♥
Here's a layout that I created for the VERY FUN Members Challenge Us Crop! This layout was for Patricia's no peeking challenge! We were to randomly pick three pieces of patterned paper and create a layout with whatever we picked! My pick was fabulous! I picked a sheet of My Mind's Eye, Jillibean Soup, and Hambly! The colors all went together very well!

Layouts, Layouts, Layouts!
I've been having FUN creating lately! I'm not lacking creative mojo . . . I'm just lacking TIME! I'm having fun at Memorable Seasons with challenges and issuing challenges, etc. It keeps me creative, and that I love! ♥ Stop by and play along! From top to bottom, the layouts are based on: a sketch by Liz, a challenge by Heather, a scraplift of Patricia (who is our member of the month), and a challenge by Donna! The challenges are fun and always inspiring!

Me!
I've been feeling very creative lately! I love when I have time to CREATE!! I did this page for a challenge to create a layout about me. I really don't have a problem scrapping myself. I know a lot of people prefer not to scrap about themselves, but I'm fine with it. I had just gotten all of the washi tapes in the Indie Chic collection from My Mind's Eye, and I was anxious to use them. I love them! I used five different rolls on this page! The papers are also My Mind's Eye. They are from the Follow Your Heart collection, which I also love! I love the "listen to your soul" on the background paper! I decided to journal right next to the washi tapes. I like the way that turned out! I added some Primas with Basic Grey brad centers. I really love Basic Grey brads. And for good measure, I decided to add my age to the page. Hey, that rhymed! Age to the page! LOL!! Age is just a number, so bring it on! As a final touch, I add my favorite technique to my layout . . . sewing! I love to sew on my layouts!
As always, thank for stopping by!

FIVE layouts in one day!
Next, this is gorgeous Emily all dressed up for one of her high school dances last year. I let her choose the papers I used on her layout, and she chose My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart. Excellent choice! I love the way this turned out! She beautiful!
This layout is based on an old Sketchy Thursdays sketch. I did some masking and misting! This is all Basic Grey Lauderdale. I love Arizona! :)
Last, I created a layout with pics from my last birthday. The girls made me a delicious funfetti cake, decorated it, and sang to me! We ate the cake after we got home from seeing The Hunger Games! I really enjoyed my 46th birthday! This is all My Mind's Eye Funday! I love this kraft collection!
So, that's it! FIVE layouts! What FUN!! I was very inspired yesterday! I love when that happens! I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day! As always, thanks for stopping by! :)

More Layouts!
This first layout was created for a frills and bling challenge. I had these fantastic photos of Emily all dressed up for Homecoming, and I knew they were the perfect photos to use. I used My Mind's Eye Lost & Found paper and glitter die cut, MME Lush brads, some rhinestone bling, Primas, a Pink Paislee ticket, and actual ribbon from her wrist corsage. I wasn't too thrilled with this when I was done, because I wanted it to be amazing, but the more I look at it, the more I like it!
This layout was created for a tools challenge. We need to use at least two tools on our layout. I used three: my i-Top, my i-Rock, and a border punch. I used Crate Paper Restoration and some Studio Calico wood veneer letters. I love my cactus flowers!
I hope you're having a great day! Things are calming down around here after the BLIZZARD and after having lost power for over 16 hours overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday! I'm so glad it's Friday! Have a great weekend, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Thankful
I haven't done a two-page layout in a long time! This one is based on a sketch by Stacey Lokovic at Inspired to Scrap. I used my Just Desserts kit from Coordinates Collections. Love the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers! Just gorgeous! I also love the Pink Paislee tickets! Too cute! I also did some misting on this layout. These are photos of us from Thanksgiving!

My Mind's Eye Sketch
My Mind's Eye posted another awesome challenge and sketch on their blog, and I've had my layout on my desk for over a week now, and I just got a chance to finish it!! I'm late for the challenge, but that's OK, because I love the way this turned out!! I have been wanting to use the Haunted collection! The flocking is awesome, and I love the die cuts and the brads! I did a lot of distressing and sewing on this layout. This page was fun to put together, and I just love this photo of Mary Poppins, Dorothy, and Toto!! You can click on the layout to see it larger!
I hope you're having a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Spider's Web Creations!
Is this not the coolest layout ever!?! I love these papers! This is from Halloween 2006! Aren't the girls CUTE!?! I just love the way this turned out!
Here are my Candy Monsters! I love it! I did lots of stitching on this page! I cut that cool large shape on my Cricut Expression! The Pink Paislee glitter chipboard letters are the perfect touch!
Here's a fun, overly distressed card! I really like the way this turned out!
There were some fun spider elements in the collection, and I decided to create a Halloween card featuring them! Very cool!
Thanks Stephanie for the opportunity to play with more awesome goodies from CraftySteals! I really ♥ CraftySteals! I hope you're all having a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Lots of Projects!
This one is for two challenges! The first is at Scrap-Friendzy. We're still participating in Camp Friendzy, and this week's challenge had a fishing theme! We needed to tie something onto our layout. I tied on a button and I tied some twine to the right of my title strip. The second is at Memorable Seasons. We were challenged to stamp at least three different stamps on our layout. I love to stamp, so no problem! I stamped my title, the beware sign, the funky skull, and the primitive man! I love these photos from Disney! I want those tiki totem poles in my backyard!! The papers are My Mind's Eye.
This Epcot layout was created with goodies that Suzanne sent to me! She sent a few of us an awesome kit, and we needed to create one layout. I'm an overachiever, so I created three projects! I'm so happy to be getting more vacation layouts done!
Another vacation layout, but this one is from Arizona! This watchtower was so totally cool!
I loved the chipboard shape that she sent, so I decided to create a personalized hanging for my scrappy area! I love this!
Here is the totally COOL kit that Suzanne sent to us! Isn't it fantastic!?! I had so much fun, and I still have some goodies left!
This layout was created for a challenge at Memorable Seasons to have a 12" swirl on your page and twelve hand cut flowers. Well, I did three flower stacks that contain four flowers each, and I cut the swirl from a sheet of My Mind's Eye paper. I'm not too sure I'm digging the swirl on this layout, but since I don't redo pages, it's staying! I do love the photo of my girls!!
This page was a recycling challenge at Scrap-Friendzy! We were to include recycled items on our page! I included a part of the ice cream box, a piece of corrugated cardboard, and a flower that I cut from plastic packaging. I love this photo of the girls and I. Those M&M ice cream sandwiches were VERY good! Yum!
So, I hope you've been having some summertime fun! It's been way too hot for me! I've been enjoying the air conditioning a little too much! I hope you enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

ippity cards
I created this card for a color challenge, and this is the card that was randomly drawn as the WINNER!! Woohoo! The colors were lilac, turquoise, and green. I would never have put these colors together, but I love the way it turned out. Better yet? I used all scraps on this card! I also used three ippity stamps!
This was for a SPRING challenge. Each letter is spring represented a required element. Scallops, piercing, ribbon, ink, new, and green. Fun!! I used just one ippity stamp on this card, but I love it!
The last challenge was based on a great sketch! How fun! I used My Mind's Eye papers. I really like the way this turned out! Emily told me that she LOVES this card, so I know who I'm giving it to!!
I hope you have a great day! Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

South Rim

Over on the Unity Forum at SCS, they posted two cool sketches for NSD. I created using this sketch right away! Love it!
Here's my page! The background is Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend, the half circle scallop sheet is My Little Shoebox. The strip across the page is My Mind's Eye. I also used fantastic Jillibean Soup corrugated letters and Prima felt letters in my title. I did a lot of sewing on this layout too, and broke out the paint! Last, but certainly not least, I used amazing Unity and ippity stamps on my layout! I used Distressed Dots, Love In Return, Life's Little Moments, and Capture Life. Unity and ippity stamps are AMAZING for scrapbooking!! I love the way this page turned out!! You can click on the layout to see it larger and to get a better look at the stamping! ♥
Did you get time to play for National Scrapbooking Day? I hope so! I'm working on the 2nd sketch today (almost finished!), and I hope to create all day long! We'll see! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Unity Anniversary Challenge Cards!
The first challenge was to create a bird or tree card using Unity stamps. Well, I have a lot of Unity stamps, but most of them are for journaling or scrapbooking, and shockingly enough, I didn't have ANY birds or trees except for this penguin! He's actually from a winter set, but I made him a beachy penguin! Isn't he cute!?! The paper is My Mind's Eye.
The next card is based on a sketch, and there was a twist to use ribbon and three buttons. Once again, I used My Mind's Eye papers. I love the two flower buttons that I used, and I always love ric rac! I added some rhinestones too.
The last one is also based on an awesome sketch. Since Unity just came out with Cosmo Cricket stamps, I used Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper on my card! I did a lot of sewing. I love the way this turned out!
I hope you're having a great day! Happy Friday! Do you have plans for National Scrapbooking Day? I cannot wait to scrapbook all day long (hopefully!) Have a great day and a fantastic weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Emily and Elmo
Sketchy Thursdays posted an awesome Second Chance Challenge Sketch for some amazing Lawn Fawn stamps, and I just had to create a layout based on the sketch! This is my Emily with her Elmo way back in March of 1997! Emily was ten months old on her first Christmas in 1996, and my mother in law got her a Tickle Me Elmo. This was the Christmas when you COULD NOT find the Tickle Me Elmo in stores. My mother in law bought it before all of the craziness set in, and she didn't become aware of how popular it was until someone offered to buy it off of her before Christmas! Anyway, she refused, she gave it to Emily on her first Christmas, and Tickle Me Elmo (with the tickle sound box removed!) quickly became Emily's stuffed toy that she always had with her! In fact, when I gave birth to Jessica in July of 1997, Emily and Elmo came to the hospital to see me! The doctor even put a small surgical gown on Elmo! Anyway, this photo is precious to me, and it brings back so many memories of my sweet girl and her Elmo! This sweet girl is now 14 years old, and YES, she still has her Elmo! ♥
So, I used a beautiful sheet of Prima paper for the background. How could I resist that red and orange color combination for this page!?! The orange dotted is by Making Memories. I added a little Elmo stamp on a My Mind's Eye journaling card. The other Elmo detail cut is from a sheet of paper from a pad that was in the dollar section of Target. It's perfect on this page! I used Thickers, Cosmo Cricket tiny type, and Jenni Bowlin alphas to create the title, and I sewed on a few buttons. I love the way this turned out, and I know Emily's going to love it too! Be sure to visit Sketchy Thursdays to see the fantastic sketch!
Happy Friday! I hope you have a GREAT weekend, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Fashion Diva
This is my sweet Emily when she was little! Isn't she fabulous!? I used the April kit from Scrapbook Kit Club. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love that kit! I also used a sketch that is posted on the Scrapbook Kit Club forum. This page is also for a challenge at Scrap-Friendzy to use a frame around a photo. I used a My Mind's Eye transparency frame. This page is also for another challenge at Memorable Seasons to do something to the edge of your layout. The example given was using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the QuicKutz squeeze. That's exactly what I did, and I love the effect! I'll be using that technique again! Last, this page is for Challenge #1 at The Color Room. This page has lots of Dear Lizzy by American Crafts, and I did a lot of sewing on the page. I just LOVE the way it turned out! Oh yeah, the beautiful crocheted flower? Emily made that for me, and it's fabulous!! Hard to believe this little girl in the photograph is now 14 years old! ♥
I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Triple Mountain Whammy!
I created a two-page layout featuring six photos from our Disney trip, and I love the way it turned out! While we were in Disney, we saw a program about the 10 things that you HAD TO do while in Disney. One of them was the "Triple Mountain Whammy!" It consisted of riding Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain. Of course, we road all three, and I think we will all agree that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was our favorite! I kept these pages simple with clean lines. The orange paper and the paper under the title and the journaling are both My Mind's Eye, and the brown patterned paper is by K&Company. I added some felt flowers by Jillibean Soup. I did the title and the journaling on my computer. I also did some sewing and added two sets of rhinestone trios. Two more pages for the Disney album are done!
I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Downtown Disney
I'm going to be getting back to my Disney layouts! This one features Jessica "shopping" at the huge Disney store in Downtown Disney. Both of the girls loved trying on all of the hats. Jessica really liked the cute stuffed yeti too! The blue patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye, and I cut the shape on my Cricut Expression. The top photo has a strip of Cosmo Cricket paper next to it. I stamped the "checklist" Unity stamp on a small brown paper bag that I had on my desk. I added some cork letters for the title, and drew a black marker border around the page. Finally, I added some Primas and rhinestones. I'm not too sure I'm digging the shape that I cut the blue paper in, but I don't do pages over, so it will have to be fine!!
I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Motivation at Scrap-Friendzy!
For the Motivation Monday, I posted a TRIPLE CHALLENGE! I noticed that when I create a page, I’ve fallen into the habit of using just one paper collection. For example, I might create a page that is almost ALL Cosmo Cricket. I might add some Primas, some Thickers, a few buttons, etc., but basically, I stick with the same manufacturer for the papers that I use. Why not? It’s easy! Everything matches! So, my primary challenge was to mix it up! I created a layout using paper from FIVE different manufacturers!! On my layout, I used K&Company Wild Saffron, Sassafras Lass, My Mind’s Eye, Basic Grey Recess, and The Boyfriend by Cosmo Cricket.
My second challenge was to use this fantastic sketch! Who doesn't love a Julie Bonner sketch!?! My third challenge was to use stitching on the layout. Whether it's machine stitching or hand stitching, I just wanted to use stitching! On my layout, I also added a couple of Primas and some Fancy Pants chipboard. The cork letters that I used for my title are by Creative Imaginations. The journaling sticker is by American Crafts. I thought this was a fun challenge! It was really fun for me to mix paper from different manufacturers!
I hope you had an awesome weekend. We have wet HEAVY snow outside . . . yuck! It's the worst kind to shovel! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Guest Designer at Scrapbook Steals!!
On the first page that I created, I decided to feature an amazing photo of the girls and Princess. I just love this photo! The girls love Princess so very much! I cut the title, heart, and large circle on my Cricut Expression. Isn't the leaf flourish and the ticket totally cool? Then, I created a fun rolled paper flower! I found directions for creating this flower on the Creating Keepsakes blog.
I then created this cute card! The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, and I cut it out with a Nestabilities scallop circle. Aren't these papers gorgeous? I added a Prima, a button, some twine, ric rac, and rhinestones.
Then I worked with the other collection, which I loved just as much!! I used a wonderful photo of my girls on their first day back to school. Aren't they cute? These double-sided papers are just beautiful! I cut my title with my Cricut Expression, and I did some sewing on this layout! The journaling die cut, photo corners, and the ticket are also in the collection as well as the flower centers! Love it!
I also created this card. I love it! I stamped the sentiment, added some sheer ribbon, a Prima, a button, and some twine. I love the way it turned out!
So, what do you think? I had SO MUCH FUN creating with these collections! Beautiful double-sided papers and there is a die cut sheet in each collection! I just love the colors! So, head on over to Scrapbook Steals and check out the amazing deal on these beautiful MME collections! Tell them Carol sent you!! Oh, and if you check out their blog, please leave a comment! Thanks!
I hope you have a wonderful Friday, and thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping for Fun!

I created this layout for one of two color challeges on the site. I love the way it turned out. I used some items I've had for a while. I'm really enjoying using my things up! I used: SEI, My Mind's Eye, PTI (thanks Chris!), Prima, Jenni Bowlin, and Making Memories!
