More Simple Stories Summer Fresh

I created a lot with my Simple Stories Summer Fresh June guest DT kit that I got from Memorable Seaons!  Here's more!

I made this card for my dad for Father's Day.  Just kept it clean and simple!

I wanted to use a fun Stampin' Up stamp I got recently from the flea market I went to, so I inked it up and put it on a card.  Fan mail . . . cracks me up!

You can never have too many birthday cards, so I made one!  I think it's cute!

This was for a doodling challenge at Memorable Seasons.  I did all of the doodling freehand!  I love the way it turned out!  I just kept turning the page and adding more.  It was fun!

This was for a challenge to deviate from the norm.  Well, I normally buy a ton of stamps and then I don't use them.  So, on this layout, I stamped!  A lot!  Cute, huh!?!  I used a bunch of stamps.

Anyway, I created A LOT with my kit!  It was fun!  Thanks for having me Memorable Seasons!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

Fall Layout and Card

Here's a fall layout and a card that I made recently. I love Fall! ♥ I used some Making Memories items that I bought on clearance at Michael's a couple of years ago. I really miss the Making Memories collections. They haven't come out with anything that I truly love in quite some time. I only have a couple of those silk fall leaves left. I need to get some more for my stash.

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations Jessica - 2011

I made this CUTE graduation card for Jessica today! She graduates on Thursday! I can't believe it! I am SO PROUD of both of my girls on a daily basis, but when a milestone comes along, I realize how AMAZING they truly are! Jessica has done so many incredible things in Junior High! She's grown into a lovely young lady! She works hard, she has fun, and she just impresses me often! She has maintained high honors throughout 8 years of school, and she has carried a full honors class load! She's been in band, choir, drama, National Junior Honor Society, scholastic bowl, track and field, etc. She IS an amazing and wonderful girl! I know I'm her mom, and I'm supposed to say that, but she really is! ♥

Back to the card! I created this using the May/June 2011 "A Bit Of Sunshine" kit from Inspired to Scrap! I was inspired to hand cut my own banner by a post I saw on the Bella Blvd. blog! I love the way this turned out, and more importantly, Jessica will love it too!!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

A couple of layouts!

Here are a couple of layouts that I worked on recently.

This first one features of photo of Emily in Palm Springs the day after we visited Disneyland in Anaheim where she enthusiastically met Minnie Mouse! Her reaction to meeting Minnie Mouse is one of those moments that is etched on my brain and is truly priceless! She's two years old in this photo, and I'm sure you'll agree that she is too cool! The red paper at the top is Cosmo Cricket, the red polka dot behind the photo is packaging from Jenni Bowlin journaling spots, and the black and white journaling sticker is American Crafts. I added a stamped Stampin' Up heart, a couple of Minnie Mouse close-ups that were cut from patterned paper, and some Primas with Making Memories brad centers.

I did a little masking and misting on the "Disney" in the title! It wasn't completely successful, but I went with it anyway! I used the backing from adhesive letters for my mask, and basically, it wasn't heavy enough on the paper, so the mist ran underneath. I was going to just trash it, but I figured that tracing the letters would work, and it did. These are three random photos that I shot over my shoulder while we were on the airplane on the way home after our Disney vacation. As you can see, Emily and Jessica were sitting behind Dave and I. I think these photos are hysterical! I did some sewing, added some Making Memories papers and travel stickers, and I even detail cut and lifted the "e" and the "y" in the title so that I could slip a photo underneath. I love the way that looks!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Rafiki

I created this layout to challenge the members at Scrap-Friendzy to "get out those stamps and use them on a layout"! This page features cardstock, various papers, one photo, and one sticker. Everything else is stamping! It was actually fun to create a page with a lot of stamping. I mostly used a Stampin' Up set, and I also used some Autumn Leaves acrylic stamp sets. I love this photo of the girls meeting Rafiki at Magic Kingdom! I love the way this page turned out!

I hope you're having a great week so far. Thanks for stopping by!

Guest Designer at Scrapbook Steals!!

I am SO EXCITED! Today, I am the guest designer at Scrapbook Steals! I love, love, love Scrapbook Steals! I am a bargain kind of gal, and the bargains at Scrapbook Steals are AMAZING! There is something new every day, and it's always a great deal! So, the amazing Kristy at Scrapbook Steals asked me to be a guest designer for their site and blog! Uhm, yes, please! I was thrilled! I received BOTH Ooh La La collections from My Mind's Eye to work with! Go over to Scrapbook Steals now to snatch up these gorgeous collections!! Here's what I created!

On the first page that I created, I decided to feature an amazing photo of the girls and Princess. I just love this photo! The girls love Princess so very much! I cut the title, heart, and large circle on my Cricut Expression. Isn't the leaf flourish and the ticket totally cool? Then, I created a fun rolled paper flower! I found directions for creating this flower on the Creating Keepsakes blog.

I then created this cute card! The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, and I cut it out with a Nestabilities scallop circle. Aren't these papers gorgeous? I added a Prima, a button, some twine, ric rac, and rhinestones.

Then I worked with the other collection, which I loved just as much!! I used a wonderful photo of my girls on their first day back to school. Aren't they cute? These double-sided papers are just beautiful! I cut my title with my Cricut Expression, and I did some sewing on this layout! The journaling die cut, photo corners, and the ticket are also in the collection as well as the flower centers! Love it!

I also created this card. I love it! I stamped the sentiment, added some sheer ribbon, a Prima, a button, and some twine. I love the way it turned out!

So, what do you think? I had SO MUCH FUN creating with these collections! Beautiful double-sided papers and there is a die cut sheet in each collection! I just love the colors! So, head on over to Scrapbook Steals and check out the amazing deal on these beautiful MME collections! Tell them Carol sent you!! Oh, and if you check out their blog, please leave a comment! Thanks!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday, and thanks for stopping by!

Creative Weekend!

I was playing with SBKC this weekend. They had a crop and some challenges posted. I created the above card using a challenge that was originally posted on their blog to create a heat embossed image on a large image cut from patterned paper. I cut the large flower from a Jenni Bowlini patterned paper. I then stamped a Stampin' Up background design on it with Versamark, sprinkled holographic embossing powder, and heat embossed it. I also used the same background stamp on the ledger paper for my card front. I then layered it all together, added sheer ribbon, a silk flower, a Jenni Bowlin chipboard button, and some twine. I love the way this came together!

Another challenge was to use the word "fantastic" in your page title, and put it together in a mixed up font. I think I accomplished that! I used a bunch of various Thickers! These photos are some of the cool things we saw in Downtown Disney! The huge loch ness monster lego creation was actually IN the water! Very cool! The Tinkertoys structure was very cool too! Downtown Disney was a fun place to be!!

I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Happy World Cardmaking Day! Go grab a cup of coffee, because I have a lot to tell you about today! I love this day . . . because, obviously, I love making cards!

This first card features an AWESOME printable background stamp created by the very talented Regina at The Cutting Cafe'. Here's what else is totally cool . . . I'm giving this Merry Christmas Background printable stamp away in a random drawing! So, if you love it, and you would like to have a chance to win it, leave me a comment! I will draw for it on Tuesday! So, I printed the background stamp directly on my Making Memories ledger paper, I added a crimped Christmas tag, a felt flower, a button threaded with twine (thanks for the twine Chris!), and a rhinestone trio. I love it!

Next, I created some crimped envelope cards for our World Cardmaking Day celebration at Paper Popsicles! If you're looking for some inspiration, please come hang out with us! There are tutorials, and PRIZES! The Paper Popsicles message board is such a great place to be! Come join us today!

This is a Halloween version of the crimped envelope card! Look, it has some candy inside!!

I also posted about color and design inspiration being found anywhere! I just so happen to find mine in Target! I love that store, and I love these pillows. I actually took a picture of them when I was shopping with my girls! I was inspired by both, but I used the rainbow pillow as inspiration for a card!

Here's my rainbow card! I used all paper scraps! I kept the sentiment simple with a Stampin' Up stamp which I cut out with my Coluzzle, and I added some sheer ribbon. I think this is a FUN card! So, check out more inspiration at Paper Popsicles today! There will also be a lot of posts on the blog throughout the day! Have fun!! Be inspired! Get creative!

Have a GREAT day! Thanks for stopping by!

Spooktacular!

I created this card for card challenge #17 on the Paper Popsicles blog. It's a fun sketch . . . create a card if you get a chance! I used Basic Grey Ambrosia papers. I love that I used papers that are NOT for Halloween on this card. The jack 'o lantern was stamped with a Stampin' Up stamp. The spooktacular was also stamped. Fun!

I hope you're having a great week. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween

I just LOVE Halloween, fall, crisp cool air, leaves changing color, etc. It's the season of the year that makes me feel wonderful! I love creating Halloween cards! I finally used my wonderful, awesome, and fantastic Martha Stewart Halloween fence stamp. I got this at Michael's on clearance at the end of the season, and I was THRILLED! Isn't it the coolest? I used a Stampin' Up circle stamp to create the "moon". I then stamped the fence right over my moon, so that the bird was featured more prominently. I added a Martha Stewart punched bat to the sky. I sewed on amazing Maya Road grosgrain ribbon. I love that ribbon. The perfect finishing touch? A "Happy Halloween" sentiment from the AMAZING Halloween Labels printable set from The Cutting Cafe'. A trio of rhinestones was the last detail that I added. Spooky, huh?

I hope you have a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by! BOO!

Did I Scare You?

I just had to create another Halloween card using the awesome Halloween Labels set from The Cutting Cafe'. I love these bracketed labels! I added a stamped image of Frankenstein's monster. He's from a Stampin' Up set called Booglie Eyes. The paper again is Rusty Pickle, the ribbon is from Michael's, and the button are from my stash. I added two strips of crazy sewing machine stitching. Very appropriate for my monster!

I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch Girl 3 Thank You

I'm enjoying the card sketches at Sketch Girl! This is my card for SG3.

I used We R Memory Keepers Tiffany papers, and I used my new Nestabilites ribbon slide! I also used a Nestabilities circle scallop. I stamped the "thank you" with a Stampin' Up stamp. I added some sheer ribbon and a rhinestone trio. I also did a asymmetrical fold and used my threading water punch on the card edge.

Sketch Girl calls this a simple sketch with lots of possibilites, and I couldn't agree with her more! Go check out Sketch Girl! Once they hit 100 followers, they are giving away THREE fantastic Stampin' Up sets! How cool is that!?!

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Thank You

My wonderful and amazing blogging friend Chris recently sent me an envelope full of FUN! She sent me cardstock that she cut with the top note die, wonderful PaperTrey Ink patterned paper, fun twine, and gorgeous flowers!! Well, I used it ALL on this card! Plus, I used my NEW Nestabilities to cut out the "thank you" sentiment (which is a Stampin' Up stamp). I added some Making Memories Chelsea's Place lace, a Kaiser pearl trio, and the button. Isn't this rustic and fun? I'm loving the way this turned out!! You can click on the card to see it larger. So, thank you, Chris!! You are the BEST!!

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!

Here is the birthday card that I made for Jessica's 12th birthday!

It's based on a challenge at Moxie Fab World. It's a bag lady challenge, and Cath posted photos of various bags, and letting them inspire me, I created the above card. Jessica LOVED it! I did a ton of sewing on the card! I added the ribbon to mimic the straps on the purse. The ribbon charm represents the purse's hardware. I think this is a fun card!

I had all of the scraps sitting on my desk, so I created a second one. I wanted to put the squares on an angle just like the bag! I love this one too!

This is the bag that inspired me! Fun challenge! Jessica also had a very fun birthday!! Where does the time go?

I hope you had a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Groovy!

I made my first layout using a Studio Calico Kit! I love it! This is from the July kit called Documentary.

I don't think I could have found a more perfect paper for the girls all dressed up in their tie-dye t-shirts! I used just items in the kit except for stamps from a Stampin' Up set. Please click on the photo to see all of the fun details! I did a lot of detail cutting with the flowers! I'm really thrilled with this page!!

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Happiness

I got some cool stamps at the rubber stamp flea market on Saturday, and yesterday, I inked a couple of them up.

I need to work on getting crisp, clear images with the very large background stamps, so if you have any advice on how to do that, please leave a comment and let me know! However, this "distressed" look worked for me. I cut the image down to fit on my card as my card front. I then stamped the "delightful" stamp on a scrap of patterned paper and cut it out using my large circle punch. I added some ribbon, a Prima, and a button that I sewed on. I also used one of my Sakura glaze pens to add some flower centers to the stamped background stamp. This is just a quick, easy, and simple card.

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Card

My wonderful blogging friend, Chris, sent me a gorgeous birthday card and wonderful American Crafts felt flowers! So, I sent her a thank you card for the felt flowers, and I even used one on the thank you card!

A while back, Chris also sent me PaperTrey Ink papers and cardstock just for me to try! Isn't she the coolest? So, I ALSO used some of the patterned paper and the cardstock on this card! I also used a Stampin' Up thank you stamp, and I cut the sentiment and a mat with my Nestabilities. Now, I wanted to try the Nestabilities as a stencil, but I'm not too sure I like that distressed brown look on the "thank you" image. I also used Making Memories Noteworthy ribbon, and I sewed on a Making Memories button. Last, I just added a brad trio to the lacy ribbon.

How's your Saturday so far? I'm actually helping the girls clean their rooms, and I'm trying to craft a little. Have a great weekend!!

PagePlans Layout and Card

The wonderful ladies at PagePlans had a month-long contest to create two projects using their sketches. The prize? A Making Memories SLICE! We could create two layouts, two cards, or one of each. I decided it was the most fun to create one of each! If you get a chance, PLEASE VOTE for both of my projects at the PagePlans site. There are four different voting sections/boxes, and when I looked at them, I had one in the first box and one in the second box, so you can vote in two spots. Thanks so much! There are a lot of fantastic projects submitted, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed!!

I love these photos of the girls, and using one of the awesome layout sketches, I was able to create this fun page! I used Cosmo Cricket Wanted, and some fun Creative Imaginations products. Isn't that cowgirl silhouette awesome?

I loved the card sketch that I used for this card! I used my Martha Stewart lace doily punch, a beautiful Prima, a Nestabilities scallop circle, some Stampin' Up stamps, and beautiful rhinestones. I'm very pleased with this card! You can click on both photos to see them larger!

If you take the time to vote for my card and layout, I want to say thanks! I really appreciate it very much!! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!
