Celebrate 15!

I created this layout with an amazing kit that I got to work with from Coordinates Collections. Unfortunately, Coordinates Collections is closing, I am very sad, and I will miss the site very much! These gorgeous papers are LYB Twig, and I did a lot of paper pleating on this layout! I love the way it turned out, especially with sewing down the pleats!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

I created this page for a Music Challenge over at Scrap-Friendzy! I coffee stained and then glimmer misted some music paper, and I created three flowers and one butterfly with the paper. I love it! I used my Nestabilities circle scallops to cut the flowers. The rest of the page is ALL Pink Paislee! I used awesome stuff that I got from my warehouse box! Oh my, I love that warehouse box! What a value for the money!! I just love how this page turned out!

I hope you enjoy your long weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Lumiere

Two posts in one day! Look out!! I created this page for a challenge at ScrapFIT. My Scrap-Friendzy design team friend Jenny told me about this site! She's a new member of their design team! I checked out the blog, and they are celebrating their 1st Birthday, and they have a Wet & Wild challenge going on! On my layout, I used my Tim Holtz mask alphabet for the title, and I used three shades of Glimmer Mist to do the title. Love it! I also used the glimmer mists on a piece of the October Afternoon paper. I punched it with my threading water punch before I used the mists, and after the mists dried, I rewet the paper with water, crumbled it, pleated it, and then sewed it down. I was going for a ruffle effect! I also used a lot of paint and ink on this layout! Last in the "wet" category, I added some distress Stickles. I got some fabric squares from Stitch Steals a short time ago, and I sewed two of them to the background. The fabric is Basic Grey Urban Couture. Cool! It adds an awesome texture to the layout. I also pleated a piece of Cosmo Cricket, and placed that to the right of the photo. Anyway, I LOVE ♥ Lumiere from Beauty & The Beast, and I was THRILLED to see this huge statue of him in the Downtown Disney Store in Orlando! He's fabulous! I'm loving the way this page turned out, and I'm thrilled to have another page for my Disney album DONE!!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

The Box

I created this page during a layout tag game! I love these silly pics of the girls! The Weber Grill box was on the front lawn, and when there is a box, there are kids who want to play in the box, no matter how old they are!! I used October Afternoon papers and journaling stickers, Jillibean Soup letters, and Scenic Route flowers. The little chipboard piece is by Love Elsie. I hand cut the little pennant banner! I love the way this turned out!

It's unbelievably hot and humid here. I'm tired of the excessively horrible summer weather! I'm ready for fall!! ♥ Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

More Bo Bunny!

Here are a few more Bo Bunny projects! I altered a plaque for a very good blogging friend of mine! This is for her adorable daughter Evie! I used Bo Bunny Jazmyne! I love the way this turned out! I did a lot of detail cutting for the flower cluster, and then I added two strips of paper that I used my threading water punch on. I had to cut the backside of the strips to get them to curve around the plaque, and the effect is just so CUTE to me! I love the scallop edge! Finally, I added two Tim Holtz tickets! Dream and Giggle . . . perfect for a beautiful baby!

This is the "before" shot of the plaque! I pick these up at Michael's and alter them.

Here's a quick card that I made. I used the Jazmyne letters that I painted. I really love the way they turned out! This card uses both Jazmyne and Mama-Razzi! I used my Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die to make the flower. Love it!

Here's another card that uses Jazmyne! I love the subtle glitter on the Bo Bunny papers! Just beautiful!

Last, I made a bookmark from a Mama-Razzi paper. I love the sentiment "Life is Beautiful". How true! I added a gorgeous Mama-Razzi flower stack too! I love bookmarks!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

ippity cards

ippity released new stamps yesterday, and there was a big party over on SplitCoast! There were three challenges, I did all three of them, and I WON one of them!! I get a stamp set from the new release! How exciting is that!?!

I created this card for a color challenge, and this is the card that was randomly drawn as the WINNER!! Woohoo! The colors were lilac, turquoise, and green. I would never have put these colors together, but I love the way it turned out. Better yet? I used all scraps on this card! I also used three ippity stamps!

This was for a SPRING challenge. Each letter is spring represented a required element. Scallops, piercing, ribbon, ink, new, and green. Fun!! I used just one ippity stamp on this card, but I love it!

The last challenge was based on a great sketch! How fun! I used My Mind's Eye papers. I really like the way this turned out! Emily told me that she LOVES this card, so I know who I'm giving it to!!

I hope you have a great day! Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

My Girls

I created this layout based on the challenge posted by Chris over at Inspired Crafters. She posted an awesome Studio Calico sketch. I used Basic Grey papers that I won from Scrap and Stamp a long time ago! I used some of the AWESOME Jillibean Soup corrugated letters for part of my title. Anyway, I just snapped this pic of my girls, and I love it! So, I decided to create a page about what my girls mean to me. I love the way this turned out!

I hope you're having a great day! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Emily and Elmo

Sketchy Thursdays posted an awesome Second Chance Challenge Sketch for some amazing Lawn Fawn stamps, and I just had to create a layout based on the sketch! This is my Emily with her Elmo way back in March of 1997! Emily was ten months old on her first Christmas in 1996, and my mother in law got her a Tickle Me Elmo. This was the Christmas when you COULD NOT find the Tickle Me Elmo in stores. My mother in law bought it before all of the craziness set in, and she didn't become aware of how popular it was until someone offered to buy it off of her before Christmas! Anyway, she refused, she gave it to Emily on her first Christmas, and Tickle Me Elmo (with the tickle sound box removed!) quickly became Emily's stuffed toy that she always had with her! In fact, when I gave birth to Jessica in July of 1997, Emily and Elmo came to the hospital to see me! The doctor even put a small surgical gown on Elmo! Anyway, this photo is precious to me, and it brings back so many memories of my sweet girl and her Elmo! This sweet girl is now 14 years old, and YES, she still has her Elmo! ♥

So, I used a beautiful sheet of Prima paper for the background. How could I resist that red and orange color combination for this page!?! The orange dotted is by Making Memories. I added a little Elmo stamp on a My Mind's Eye journaling card. The other Elmo detail cut is from a sheet of paper from a pad that was in the dollar section of Target. It's perfect on this page! I used Thickers, Cosmo Cricket tiny type, and Jenni Bowlin alphas to create the title, and I sewed on a few buttons. I love the way this turned out, and I know Emily's going to love it too! Be sure to visit Sketchy Thursdays to see the fantastic sketch!

Happy Friday! I hope you have a GREAT weekend, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Liberty Square

I love creating my Disney layouts!! I created this layout for a recipe challenge that I issued at Scrap-Friendzy. The recipe consists of elements that must be used on your layout. I decided on three required items: (1) a border punch, (2) felt, and (3) buttons. That's it! I used my threading water punch, some cute felt ki Memories flowers, and some awesome Bo Bunny buttons. This layout also uses a cute Jillibean Soup journaling spot, Jillibean Soup twill, Pink Paislee letter stickers, a flourish that I cut from a K&Company patterned piece of paper, patterned paper by Scenic Route, and a background ledger sheet by Creative Imaginations. I really like the way this layout turned out!

Another challenge at Scrap-Friendzy right now is to create your own kit and then use it! I created a kit, had a lot of fun putting it together, and I used it on the layout above! I will be creating more projects using this kit!

I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Triple Mountain Whammy!

I created a two-page layout featuring six photos from our Disney trip, and I love the way it turned out! While we were in Disney, we saw a program about the 10 things that you HAD TO do while in Disney. One of them was the "Triple Mountain Whammy!" It consisted of riding Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain. Of course, we road all three, and I think we will all agree that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was our favorite! I kept these pages simple with clean lines. The orange paper and the paper under the title and the journaling are both My Mind's Eye, and the brown patterned paper is by K&Company. I added some felt flowers by Jillibean Soup. I did the title and the journaling on my computer. I also did some sewing and added two sets of rhinestone trios. Two more pages for the Disney album are done!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Get It While It's FREE!!

I told you a couple of days ago that Regina at The Cutting Cafe' is giving away the brand new CHRISTMAS DAILY printable stamp set away for FREE! You only have until Thursday night to get it for FREE! I created two title pieces for my 25 Days Until Christmas Book! I used the sentiments available in the free set, and I paired them up with Christmas Tags. I buy a lot of Christmas Tags in the after Christmas clearance sales! I have these two title pieces ready to go in my 25 Days Until Christmas book! What FUN!!

I cut this sentiment out with my oval Coluzzle template, and then I added a Christmas Tag to the center. I love this!

I hope you're having a great day! In case you missed my BIG NEWS yesterday, check out the Making Memories blog!! Woohoo! Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch Girl 3 Thank You

I'm enjoying the card sketches at Sketch Girl! This is my card for SG3.

I used We R Memory Keepers Tiffany papers, and I used my new Nestabilites ribbon slide! I also used a Nestabilities circle scallop. I stamped the "thank you" with a Stampin' Up stamp. I added some sheer ribbon and a rhinestone trio. I also did a asymmetrical fold and used my threading water punch on the card edge.

Sketch Girl calls this a simple sketch with lots of possibilites, and I couldn't agree with her more! Go check out Sketch Girl! Once they hit 100 followers, they are giving away THREE fantastic Stampin' Up sets! How cool is that!?!

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Layouts for Baby!

One of the ladies at Paper Popsicles is having a baby, and they decided to throw her an online "baby shower". Our contribution was to make her some 12x12 layouts that she could use after the baby was born. I decided to make two layouts for her . . . Halloween and Christmas.

I went with a cutesy approach to the Halloween layout. I softened it up with some flowers, I added a journaling circle, and I sewed on some buttons. I really like the "What a BOOtiful baby!" subtitle.

For the Christmas layout, I used Cosmo Cricket, and I added a subtitle that says, "Good things come in small packages!" I added two tags for journaling. I really love these traditional colors.

It was harder than I thought it would be to design layouts for someone else! However, I'm happy with the way they turned out. Hopefully she'll find them easy to use! I hope you're having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Being Together

This page is for a challenge at Paper Popsicles. First off, we needed to post a summer photo. I posted this family photo. Once everyone had their photos posted, we got the layout challenge instructions, which were to include the following on our layout of the photo that we posted:
  • yellow, blue and brown cardstock
  • 3 buttons
  • 4 different patterned papers
  • journaling
  • the word "blast" in the title
  • 3 stickers

I struggled the most with using the word "blast"! However, I made it work, and I love the result! This page is made with an August kit from the Paper Popsicles store. I love the Breaking Free My Mind's Eye papers! I cut the title and subtitle on my Cricut Expression. My journaling block was created with Autumn Leaves acrylic stamps. I added silk Primas, buttons, a Tim Holtz ticket, and 7 gypsies stickers. I also did a lot of distressing and used two border punches! This was a fun page to create, and I love it! You can click on it to see it larger!

I hope you're having a GREAT day! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Up

I haven't worked this hard on a layout in a LONG time, but it was totally worth it!

The girls and I took grandma, my mother-in-law, to see Disney's Up in 3D while we were in Arizona on vacation. It was such an excellent movie! We laughed and I cried too! Anyway, after the movie, we kept talking about the "cone of shame", and saying "squirrel!" at random times. It was cracking us all up. So, the event was definitely worth scrapbooking! I cut a BUNCH of balloons on my Expression. I tied thread to each and every one of them (Emily and Jessica helped!) I found movie posters online and shrunk them down. I mean, come on, Carl, Russell, and Dug HAVE TO be on the page! I also found Ellie's grape soda bottlecap, and printed that out too. I hand cut the title. I'm just LOVING the way this turned out!! It's such a fun layout! You can click on it to see it larger. And, yes, we all wore red shirts on the same day on purpose!

I hope you're having a great day. Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Six cards!

Over at ScrapCity, three of us decided to create and exchange cards kits. It's fun to do, because you get rid of some of your crap . . . uhm, I mean "stash", and you get a card kit in return. Anyway, I create two identical cards kits for Wendy and Audrey, and they both are sending me a kit in return. I already got Audrey's kit (I forgot to take a pic of the kit first, sorry!), and I made six cards using the kit!

I allowed myself to use tools (punches), ink, and stamps for the cards, but nothing else. I wanted to use JUST the kit. It wasn't until the last card that I added something. I added the ribbon, because the card just had to have ribbon!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy your Monday, and thanks for stopping by!

Prima hello card

Before I show you a card, check out the Hero Arts blog! It's their BIG WEEK!! Giveaways galore!

I mentioned yesterday that I participated in some challenges over at Scrapbook News & Review. They had a Spring Into Summer Event. This is the second card that I did for a challenge.

It was based on a sketch, and this challenge was an "Ode to our Sponsors Challenge". One of the sponsors was Prima, so my card is all about Prima. I used five different Prima papers, all of which are from the Sasha Collection. I also added two Prima flowers from the Rock On collection. Such a colorful card!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day - We Love You

I don't know when Regina at The Cutting Cafe' finds time to sleep! She is always creating more fabulous printable stamps and cutting files! I created a Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law using the new Happy Mother's Day huge circle set.

Now, this huge circle is actually sized to perfection to go on the Circle Shaped Card. However, I decided to feature it on a square card instead. It looks wonderful! I used Colorbok patterned paper and chipboard pieces. I added a rhinestone trio, and that's it! The card is done! I think it looks great, and I think my mother-in-law will really like it!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted something crafty! I've been so busy lately with the girls' activities and with things around the house. The weather is finally beautiful, and with that comes my most dreaded spring /summer chore . . . cutting the grass! I've only done it twice this year, and already I'm dreading the rest of the time that I need to do it! Yuck! Anyway, I hope you've been doing well. Happy Monday, and thanks for stopping by!

52 Sketches . . . 52 Weeks - Sketch #13

This is my layout for Sketch #13 at 52 Sketches . . . 52 Weeks. I love this sketch, and I love the way this layout turned out!

The papers, title, and the die cuts are all My Mind's Eye. I added a 7 gypsies "friends" cardstock sticker, and I stamped an Autumn Leaves swirl stamp in the lower corner. The flower is a Prima, the photo anchor is QuicKutz, and I added a couple of very pretty Making Memories brads. I got the gorgeous ric rac from Shel at ScrapCity. Last, I added some rhinestones on the stamped image. You can click on the layout to see it larger.

I hope you have a great Friday, a fantastic weekend, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
