Be You

I rarely create two page layouts, and this is my second one in the last few weeks! I used the January / February "Happy Together" kit that I bought at Inspired to Scrap.

I let a Unity Stamp inspire me with the title! "Be Unique. Be Unforgettable. Be YOU." Love it!

My girls LOVE taking silly self-portraits! I love when they take silly self-portraits! It's a wonderful surprise to see them all when I upload photos from my camera! I stamped words up the side of the three photos! They're from a PaperTrey Ink stamp set. Love it! Both of these layouts are based on sketches that are posted at the sketch event at Scrap-Friendzy.

I hope you're having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Lumiere

Two posts in one day! Look out!! I created this page for a challenge at ScrapFIT. My Scrap-Friendzy design team friend Jenny told me about this site! She's a new member of their design team! I checked out the blog, and they are celebrating their 1st Birthday, and they have a Wet & Wild challenge going on! On my layout, I used my Tim Holtz mask alphabet for the title, and I used three shades of Glimmer Mist to do the title. Love it! I also used the glimmer mists on a piece of the October Afternoon paper. I punched it with my threading water punch before I used the mists, and after the mists dried, I rewet the paper with water, crumbled it, pleated it, and then sewed it down. I was going for a ruffle effect! I also used a lot of paint and ink on this layout! Last in the "wet" category, I added some distress Stickles. I got some fabric squares from Stitch Steals a short time ago, and I sewed two of them to the background. The fabric is Basic Grey Urban Couture. Cool! It adds an awesome texture to the layout. I also pleated a piece of Cosmo Cricket, and placed that to the right of the photo. Anyway, I LOVE ♥ Lumiere from Beauty & The Beast, and I was THRILLED to see this huge statue of him in the Downtown Disney Store in Orlando! He's fabulous! I'm loving the way this page turned out, and I'm thrilled to have another page for my Disney album DONE!!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

More Bo Bunny!

Here are a few more Bo Bunny projects! I altered a plaque for a very good blogging friend of mine! This is for her adorable daughter Evie! I used Bo Bunny Jazmyne! I love the way this turned out! I did a lot of detail cutting for the flower cluster, and then I added two strips of paper that I used my threading water punch on. I had to cut the backside of the strips to get them to curve around the plaque, and the effect is just so CUTE to me! I love the scallop edge! Finally, I added two Tim Holtz tickets! Dream and Giggle . . . perfect for a beautiful baby!

This is the "before" shot of the plaque! I pick these up at Michael's and alter them.

Here's a quick card that I made. I used the Jazmyne letters that I painted. I really love the way they turned out! This card uses both Jazmyne and Mama-Razzi! I used my Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die to make the flower. Love it!

Here's another card that uses Jazmyne! I love the subtle glitter on the Bo Bunny papers! Just beautiful!

Last, I made a bookmark from a Mama-Razzi paper. I love the sentiment "Life is Beautiful". How true! I added a gorgeous Mama-Razzi flower stack too! I love bookmarks!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Bo Bunny Layouts!

I decided to try out for the Bo Bunny design team, and here are two of the projects that I submitted. The first one uses Jazmyne. The letter stickers that come with this collection are a pinkish / light purple. I wanted them to be a darker color for this layout, so I painted them sage green. I think they turned out awesome, and I love the way they look on this paper! The Jazmyne papers are GORGEOUS! Just enough sparkle! I did some sewing and lots of detail cutting. I featured a self-portrait that I took with the girls on Mother's Day! I love this page!

This layout features Mama-Razzi! I love this paper collection! The layout features a very cool photo of Dave on one of his Harleys. I did a lot of distressing and layering. I also added paint to the edges of the papers. I cut the title on my Cricut. I think the sentiment "The very best photos are never posed" is perfect for this page!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Jumping For Joy

I created this layout for a challenge at Memorable Seasons to use a cardstock base and a household item to create a pattern. I used paint on bubble wrap as a big stamp, and then I also used corrugated cardboard to stamp some journaling lines. I liked the way the cardboard looked, so I added it to my layout. I stamped a Studio Calico stamp, and I also stamped two Unity stamps from the July stampin' store kit that I got from Crafty Steals! I love the butterfly! I didn't have a white corrugated Jillibean Soup "y" for my title, so I traced the negative, and I drew in lines so that it would fit in with the rest of the title. I love using paint on my layouts, and I really like the way this turned out!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

South Rim

Over on the Unity Forum at SCS, they posted two cool sketches for NSD. I created using this sketch right away! Love it!

Here's my page! The background is Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend, the half circle scallop sheet is My Little Shoebox. The strip across the page is My Mind's Eye. I also used fantastic Jillibean Soup corrugated letters and Prima felt letters in my title. I did a lot of sewing on this layout too, and broke out the paint! Last, but certainly not least, I used amazing Unity and ippity stamps on my layout! I used Distressed Dots, Love In Return, Life's Little Moments, and Capture Life. Unity and ippity stamps are AMAZING for scrapbooking!! I love the way this page turned out!! You can click on the layout to see it larger and to get a better look at the stamping! ♥

Did you get time to play for National Scrapbooking Day? I hope so! I'm working on the 2nd sketch today (almost finished!), and I hope to create all day long! We'll see! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

25 Days Until Christmas - Days 12 - 14

Here are some more pages from my 25 Days Until Christmas book. I love putting these pages together!

Day 12 has two pages. On the first, I snapped a photo of Jessica when she was on her way down to the basement. It's cold in the basement, and she has on thick socks, a sweatshirt, and her winter hat! She cracks me up! I love the lace that I added to the edge of the page.

Instead of putting up the BIG tree this year, we decided to put up the small tabletop tree. We love this crazy little tree. I snapped a photo of the girls decorating it, and I snapped a photo of it all lit up. Colorful Christmas lights are so pretty!

On Day 13, the girls and I FINALLY went to see New Moon. I even clipped the ticket stubs to the page. The movie was VERY good! We'll be anxiously awaiting the release of Eclipse in June!

Day 14 is also two pages. On the first, Emily is lounging in the living room with her afghan. She is reading a book, and she has a furry friend close by!

On the second page for Day 14, Jessica is playing the Wii, and it makes me laugh that she has a Santa hat on!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

{dance}

I created this layout for a challenge over at Paper Popsicles. We were to create a layout and the only embellishments we could use are chipboard items. I struggled with this, but then it came together. The papers and the chipboard photo corners, button, and journaling piece are all Pink Paislee Enchanting. The title, brackets, and flower are all Maya Road that I painted with Making Memories paint. Yes, I added a little piece of twine to my button. I just had to. I cannot have an undressed button! I really like the way this turned out!

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate the 4th of July

Here's another 4th of July page using the awesome printable images from The Cutting Cafe'. I used both the Happy 4th of July circular sentiment and the "Celebrate" from the 4th of July printable stamp set 1. Regina also has a special going on right now! If you purchase the 4th of July set 1 or set 2, you get the background stamp set for FREE! Check it out!

This layout also uses a sketch that was posted for one of the monthly challenges over at Paper Popsicles. I used Cosmo Cricket Halfway Cafe papers, American Crafts ribbon, buttons, and black paint for distressing.

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Red Ball

Over at Paper Popsicles, we recently played a telephone operator game. We started with an inspiration layout, and the next person had to use something on that layout as inspiration, and then the next person had to use the 2nd layout as inspiration, and so on, and so on, etc.

So, I was the first person in the game, and I received the inspiration layout. The layout I received was monochromatic blue, it had a two word title, a single photo, and it was basically designed like the "red ball" layout that I created! I took this photo of Princess, and it just cracked me up that her red ball was in the photo with her. She's such a silly dog! I used Cosmo Cricket papers, Lil' Davis chipboard letters, Thickers, ribbon from my stash, a Prima, some buttons, and I even stamped a Making Memories foam stamp flourish under the corner of the photo. Fun layout to make, and it was fun letting another layout inspire me!

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous

Regina has done it again! Over at The Cutting Cafe', there is a NEW Chunky Praise Phrases printable stamp set available. The sentiment on this card is totally fabulous, and it's from this new set!

On this card, I also stamped with a blossom from my ornamental pear tree! To stamp with a real flower is a current challenge over at Paper Popsicles! I have to admit, I thought it wouldn't turn out, but I stamped with the same flower three times, and the results are above! Isn't is fabulous? (Sorry, couldn't resist!) The papers are all from an awesome We R Memory Keepers Tiffany paper pad that I recently got at Michael's. The papers are fabulous! (Yes, I know, I just can't help myself!) The ribbon is by American Crafts, and I added some rhinestones. I'm loving this card! You can click on it to see it larger.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch #16 - 52 Sketches . . . 52 Weeks

YES! I got a sketch at 52 Sketches . . . 52 Weeks done on time! Way to go! I love the way this turned out! This is based on Sketch #16.

This page is very funny . . . Dave actually took a photo of the three of us girls when we came out of the bathroom in Orlando airport. It was the FIRST thing we needed to do IMMEDIATELY upon arriving in Orlando! My husband is used to waiting for us A LOT! It cracked me up that he was ready to snap our photo! I couldn't resist adding the "go!" This is a lot of Making Memories Passport! I got a bunch of awesome Passport goodies from Kelly at the Paper Crafts site when I won the "name the editor" contest! It's the 2nd page in our Disney album!! I also added some stitching under the photo! It's a current challenge over at Paper Popsicles! You can click on the layout to see it larger. I love the way this turned out!

I hope you have a GREAT weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Kids Can Scrap - Challenge #7 - Take TWO!

A couple of days ago, I posted the layout that Emily created for Challenge #7 over at Kids Can Scrap. Today, I'm proud to show you the layout that Jessica created for this challenge! The girls worked SO HARD on their layouts, and I think you will agree that Jessica also did a FANTASTIC job on her layout!

For her monochromatic layout, Jessica set up a photo shoot of LOTS of her favorite GREEN items, including her green nanochromatic iPod! I stood on a chair above her to snap this photo! She used a lot of fun embellishments on her layout, including buttons, Prima Sprites, awesome Making Memories brads, American Crafts ribbons, the Fastenator, and foam stamps. I am amazed at how creative and talented the girls are when they create! Just wonderful!

I also want to tell you about some awesome blog candy! One of my Sketches! {by Tamara} blogging buds, Joanie, is giving away an awesome selection of spring goodies! Check it out on her blog, and enter for your chance to WIN! I hope you have a GREAT day today, and thanks for stopping by!

Wall Hanging

Just a couple of weeks ago, I made a Halloween wall hanging. I really loved the way it turned out, so I decided to make another one for my sister-in-law for her birthday.

I mounted this on the chipboard backing from a legal pad. I used We R Memory Keepers papers and embellishments. The title is felt Thickers. I did a lot of distressing with Making Memories paint. I then used my Cropadile Big Bite to punch through it to add the ribbon. I love the way this turned out! It's a nice thing for Kristine to hang in her house featuring her nieces and nephew!

We got SNOW overnight! It's CRAZY!! Just when you think spring is on its way, BAM, more snow! I hope you are having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping Recipe Challenge #28

This is my page for Scrapping Recipe Challenge #28 at the Sketches! {by Tamara} site. I had so much fun creating this page!

The items that needed to be used on our card or layout were:
  • use the colors red & white
  • use a household item to stamp
  • have a heart anywhere on your layout or card

I started off with Bazzill black cardstock, the red and white dotted paper is American Crafts, the black and white dotted paper is Heidi Swapp, and the "take note" journaling card and the 1-10 journaling card are both by Teresa Collins. The "I Love You" journaling card and the two dotted sticker strips on the bottom of the layout are both by Cosmo Cricket. The household item that I used to stamp was a pencil eraser. I stamped a trio of red dots at the top of the layout. I also stamped a red foam heart. I added a bunch of Prima Sprites, Making Memories brads, and a trio of rhinestones. Like I mentioned, I had a lot of fun creating this layout!

We're supposed to get 3 - 6 inches of snow later today and into tonight. I sure hope they're wrong about that! I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping Recipe Challenge #27

It's Scrapping Recipe Challenge day at Sketches! {by Tamara}. This is my page for Scrapping Recipe Challenge #27.

The recipe this week was to use the following items on our cards or layouts:
  • circles
  • chipboard
  • paint

I used Chip Chatter chipboard letters, Basic Grey patterned paper, tags, and alphabet stickers, and Prima Sprites. I also used my new lace doily border punch. I got it for 50% at Michael's with a coupon! I used one of my Lisa Bearnson KOTM foam stamps on the bottom of my page. This is just a fun page of the girls showing off their driveway chalk art! Love it! Jessica had created a huge "I Miss You Dad" sign on the driveway so that Dave would see it when he got home. It was the cutest thing ever!! You can click on the page to see it larger.

Well, my side is feeling better, but it is still sore. I feel like such a dork for having pulled or strained a muscle. Dave went out and got me a muscle rub cream, and I'm loving the tingly warm feeling after using it! It's definitely helping. So, if I stop coughing, this should go away very quickly. Thanks for all of the comments about feeling better! You are all the BEST! It's yucky and very rainy today. I am going to catch up on my "25 Days Until Christmas" book. I'm way behind!! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping Recipe Challenge #18

The Scrapping Recipe Challenge this week at Sketches! {by Tamara} is to include the following on your project:
  1. Paint
  2. Distressing
  3. Buttons

Be sure to check out the wonderful cards and layouts that were created using this Scrapping Recipe #18!

I used GORGEOUS Cosmo Cricket Wonderland papers. I love that strip tease at the bottom of the page! I added it to two strips of paper that I used my threading water punch on. I actually sewed on six buttons, and I adhered that whole border strip to the bottom of my page. Love it! All of the cardstock edges are chalk ink distressed, including my photo mats and the title piece. The "Together" title is a foam stamp that I used paint on. I just love the way this page turned out! These photos are from 2005. That is my father-in-law in the bottom photo with his gorgeous granddaughters! This was our first Christmas with Princess, and she is proudly standing in front of her stocking!

Well, the Chicago baseball season is OVER! The White Sox lost last night. We're VERY used to saying, "Wait until next year." Oh well!

I'm off to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

BBTB - Christmas Cheer - House Challenge

Over at Bitten By The Bug, we were challenged to use the house cut on the Christmas Cheer cartridge. It seems to be a gingerbread house, but I designed it as a haunted house instead! Be sure to see what the other designers created! You will be amazed at how creative everyone was using this cut!

I cut the house using some fantastic Rusty Pickle patterned paper. I Cuttlebug embossed the roof and added some black Stickles. The spider web in the corner is a Making Memories foam stamp that I stamped in white paint. The spider is also a MM foam stamp that I detail cut. The "Happy Haunting!" stamp is from a Stampin' Up set. I distressed the edges of all the cardstock, and I used chalk ink on it.

I hope you had a great weekend. Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

Jack-O-Lantern Flowerpots

My blogging friend Chris had some lack-o-lantern flowerpots on her blog. The idea came from a Lowe's magazine. I got the same magazine, loved the project, and then I promptly forgot about it until I saw Chris's flowerpots! So, the girls and I created our own this weekend, and we LOVE them!

Here they are sitting on our landscaping wall in front of our house. Aren't they ADORABLE? From left to right, they were created by Emily, myself, and Jessica. I love that they're all different! We had so much fun! I love the purple mums too. I wanted to get three different colors of mums, but WalMart only had the purple left. So, that's our fun project! What do you think?

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for stopping by!

SPOOKY - 2S4U - Laura's Sketch 8

Two posts in one day? I just can't help myself! Be sure to check out my layout that I posted below! I have been wanting to do a sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You for so long now. I don't know what took me so long to get one done! I love the sketches that Laura and Kazan put up on their site! Here is my card for the Laura's wonderful Sketch 8. I love it!

It's been cool the last couple of days, so I'm in the mood for Halloween! Halloween just makes me HAPPY! I used my two new Halloween stamps that I got from Hobby Lobby (thank you Liz!). The "SPOOKY" at the bottom is a fantastic Cosmo Cricket cardstock sticker. I stamped two Making Memories foam stamps (the bat and "eek!") with black paint. The photograph doesn't show it too well, but the bat looks like it's about to fly off the card! The ribbon is inked Twistel. I added a strip of black rhinestones at the bottom, and a trio of copper brads at the top. The brad trio is sitting on a score line that I inked. You can click on the card to see it larger. I really love the way this card turned out! What fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
