Jack Skellington Hat

I finshed the layout yesterday, and when I was done, I realized that it's probably one of my favorite layouts EVER! I just love the way it turned out. In the photo, Emily is wearing a Jack Skellington hat that she bought at Disney. She LOVES The Nightmare Before Christmas. She LOVES Jack Skellington. She was thrilled to find this cool hat, and even better . . . it was on sale! On sale at Disney! Who would think that could even happen?! Everything is so expensive at Disney! Anyway, as you can see, there is very little on this layout, but I love the way it came together. The black, red, and grey color combination really appeals to me, and the two Jack Skellington stickers that I added are just fabulous. I did a lot of pen stitching on the layout, and I added an Autumn Leaves swirl stamp. The finishing touch were some Primas and buttons. This is based on a sketch at Scrap-Friendzy.

I hope you had a great weekend. I have more layouts to show you! I'm getting so much done! Thanks for stopping by!

Bang on the Drum

You're not surprised to see another Disney layout, right? I love this photo! The girls are soaked, because we went on the Kali River Rapids ride over and over again, AND we got caught in a quick rain shower at Animal Kingdom! The girls stopped to play these drums, and I think they look so cute! I went a little Todd Rundgren for my title, "they just want to bang on the drum all day". Love that song! The circular scallop paper came from my most wonderful blogging friend Chris. I believe it's a Making Memories paper that she got at Target. I love it! The papers, chipboard tags, and metal signage is all Making Memories Just Chillin'. I added Making Memories tiny alphas, Jenni Bowlin round tiny alphas, and Basic Grey lettering. I added a Prima, a wood button, and some twine. This is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy. I really like the way this layout turned out.

I hope you're enjoying your Saturday. Thanks for stopping by!

Expedition Everest

I got another layout done today! Woohoo! I'm getting so much done for my Disney album, and I have so many more photos to go!! This page features my absolutely positively favorite ride from Disney! It's hard to pick a favorite! I had so many that I LOVED, but I have to say, Expedition Everest was my FAVORITE! I could have gone on it over and over again! Very cool roller coaster! Anyway, I printed the Expedition Everest piece at the bottom on my computer. I just found that on the Internet. I used Basic Grey paper that I've had for a very long time! The journaling star is Jenni Bowlin, and the buttons are Making Memories. I cut the circle and the two other stars in my Cricut Expression. Once again, this is based on a sketch at Scrap-Friendzy. I'm getting a lot done during this Sketch-A-Thon.

I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. I hope to scrap a lot! Thanks for stopping by!

Animal Kingdom

This is just a quick page I put together that features two very cool photos of the girls standing by this amazing tree just inside the gates in Animal Kingdom. The huge ornaments on the tree were fantastic! I used some very old animal print papers by Creative Memories!! The blue sheet is My Mind's Eye. I added some Primas, buttons, and twine! I also did some machine sewing around the entire layout. The title is chipboard Thickers. This page is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy.

I hope you enjoy your Friday. Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Cool Red Phone Booth

Another Disney layout! I am really enjoying getting a lot done for our Disney album! This is based on another sketch that is posted at the Scrap Friendzy Sketch-A-Thon. I had these two photos with the red phone booth in the Epcot World Showcase, so I went with a monochromatic color scheme. In the first photo, Jessica is actually inside the phone booth, and in the second, Emily is standing outside of it.

I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Four More Disney Layouts!

Using sketches posted at the Sketch-A-Thon over at Scrap-Friendzy, I got FOUR more Disney layouts done this weekend! So cool!

This layout features us waiting in a VERY long line for Soarin'. The bottom photo cracks me up. Jessica is pointing to her pretend watch to emphasize that we've been waiting a long time! It didn't matter though, because Soarin' is worth the wait! We loved it!

This layout is for Test Track! This also was worth the wait! Such a fast ride, and we loved it! We went on this quite a few times! Awesome! I love the October Afternoon papers and die cuts that I used on this page!

This layout features Emily trying on some fun hats at Animal Kingdom! The girls loved trying on the cool hats! I used a cool Jenni Bowlin journaling heart! I love the way this layout turned out! So fun!

This is another page that features the photos I took during the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at Animal Kingdom. Very cool animals! Amazing attraction! I used Cosmo Cricket Earth Love! It will coordinate with the first page that I created featuring the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction.

I hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

* no cameras!

This is another Disney layout, and it's based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy. I love the silly smile on Dave! He's so funny! These papers are ScrapWorks, and I've had them for a VERY long time. It's nice to use them! I cut the large circle on my Expression, and the little bubble circles using my Coluzzle.

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Extreme Close-Ups

I love these four photos from our Disney trip! We were waiting in a very long line for Toy Story Midway Mania at Hollywood Studios. In order to amuse ourselves, we all snapped an extreme close-up self-portrait! I think they turned out great, and I love showcasing them on this two-page layout. The papers are all My Mind's Eye. I cut the big brackets on my Expression. I also added Primas and Making Memories glitter brads. This is based on a one-page sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy. I just did a mirror image of the sketch for the facing page.

Here's a better look at page one which features me and Emily.

Here's a closer look at page two which features Jessica and Dave. What fun!

Here's another look at the pages together. I love the way this turned out.

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

More Layouts!

I am having so much fun working on layouts! I created a couple more this weekend!

I love this photo of the girls that I took on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I used Making Memories Passport on this project. I love this collection! The canvas letters that I used for the title are so cool!

I also did another Disney layout! I had three random shots from Epcot, so I just put them all on the same layout. This is Cosmo Cricket Get Happy.

Both of these layouts are based on sketches that are posted at the Sketch-A-Thon at Scrap-Friendzy. I'm having a lot of fun working with the sketches, and I'm getting a lot done!

I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Random Shots from Disney

I created a layout that features three random shots from our Disney trip. I took a photo of the number that was on the building where we stayed, our room number, and a cute bottle of shampoo/conditioner along with an engraved bar of soap! Seriously, the Mickey Mouse engraved soap is way too cute! I used up some items on this layout that I've have for a long time! This layout is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy.

I hope you're enjoying your day. Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

I'm Rockin' the Disney Layouts!

I got yet another Disney layout done! This one features the girls posing by a fountain that was on the grounds of the Caribbean Beach Resort. The die cuts, papers, ribbon, and journaling notebook piece are all Making Memories Just Chillin'. I also added a Prima flower stack. This is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy, and it's also for a color combination challenge at Scrapbook Kit Club. I love combining challenges!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Shimmerz Pearlz!

Cool! Check out the Shimmerz blog for a video and a giveaway!!

Back To School

This is a 52 Sketches sketch from this year that was posted at Scrap-Friendzy for their Sketch-A-Thon. I didn't do the sketch when it was originally posted at 52 Sketches, so I was thrilled to complete it now. I used The Boyfriend by Cosmo Cricket. I love this paper collection! I sewed the circle, and I added brads and buttons around the circle. The tickets are by Jenni Bowlin. I love the way this turned out, and I am AMAZED at how much the girls have grown since this photo was taken!!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Musicians

I finally had a chance to use some of my Life Stories paper and die cuts from My Mind's Eye. The kraft color scheme to this collection is so appealing to me! I love this 5x7 of Jessica and Emily. I took it at their last concert of the 2008-2009 school year. I am so proud of their talent and commitment to band. It's so impressive to me that they are musicians! So, the page is mostly Life Stories except for the Core'dinations cardstock, and the music notes paper which is Making Memories Vintage Findings. I also added a Prima, a wood button, and some twine. The title was cut with my QuicKutz. I love the way this turned out. It's based on a sketch that is posted for the Sketch-A-Thon that is going on over at Scrap-Friendzy, and yesterday, my layout was singled out as the Girlfriendz Pick of the Day!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Jump On In

This is the layout that I created for the fabulous January 7th sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. I love the focus on one photo with minimal embellishments. This is the girls totally enjoying grandma's pool when we were on vacation in Arizona! I just love the way this turned out! I used Cosmo Cricket Snorkel papers and die cut stickers. The felt flower is by American Crafts, and the glitter brad is Making Memories. I used a ton of distress ink, and I misted on the page using Shimmerz Spritz and a little bit of Making Memories paint that I splattered on using an old toothbrush. The paper was VERY warped after all of the spritzing, and even after ironing it (yes, I really ironed it!), I couldn't get it to stay flat, so I decided to sew it to another piece of cardstock. I'm glad I did, because I love the way it looks. I'm crazy about the zig zag stitching, and I've been using it a lot lately! Anyway, I'm thrilled with this layout!

I hope you had a very nice weekend and Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

So many hats . . . so little time!

I did another layout based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy's Sketch-A-Thon. This is my silly Jessica trying on a bunch of hats at Animal Kingdom. She came up with the title for the page! The papers, die cuts, and ribbon are Fancy Pants. I love the way this turned out.

Next, I want to show you a gift that I received in the mail yesterday from the most wonderful Jodi (Scrapronicity). Jodi and I both did Project 365, and we both kept Project 365 blogs. We kept each other going by checking to see how we were doing, commenting on the posts, etc. So, we were most definitely Project 365 buddies! So, Project 365 is over, and Jodi sent me this gift as a thank you for sticking with her for the entire year! Oh my goodness, it's just unbelievable and the sweetest thing ever that she would think to do this for me! Let's take a look at this amazing mini album!

I was overwhelmed taking it out of the pink bag and seeing the cover, and then when I opened to this first page, I got so choked up and misty! She got this photo off of my Project 365 blog! The quote on the facing page is one of my absolute favorites!

Look at those TINY snowflakes on January, and the paper doll has an "e" on it for Emily, and it's before February, because Emily's birthday is in February! Amazing!

Between March and April, there is a Princess page! OMG, it's so cute, and she has a tiara on! How perfect is that?

The backside of the Princess page is totally fabulous too!!

Here is April and May! April is sporting some of my most favorite Basic Grey Ambrosia paper! I love it!

Between June and July is a doll with "J" on it, because Jessica's birthday is in July. Once again, amazing!

Look at the little popsicles on August! Then there is another photo, and the quote next to it is wonderful! It says, "Let me play in the sunshine; let me sing for joy; let me grow in the light; let me spash in the rain, and remember the days of childhood forever." LOVE it!

Another favorite quote of mine is before September! "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away." How true!

After October, around the swirl stamp, it says, "to love and be loved . . . is to feel the sun from both sides." Nice!

Here is November and December, and check out the little Christmas tree and the blue star!

Even the back cover is GORGEOUS! Can you believe this gift? It's amazing, and I love it, and Jodi is WONDERFUL to have made this for me! I'm overwhelmed, and I will TREASURE it! Thank you Jodi from the bottom of my heart!!

I hope you're having a great day, enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Splendor

I am having so much fun scrapbooking and creating layouts! This one is based on another sketch at Scrap-Friendzy, and it's based on a wonderful Becky Fleck sketch.

I ended up turning the sketch so that I could use a horizontal photo. Everything on this page except for the buttons is Pink Paislee Amber Road. I love this collection!

We're getting a bunch of snow today. The driveway needs to be done big time! I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Jenga

I have a layout today that's NOT a Disney layout! Shocking, right? Here's a fun Jenga layout that I created!

This layout is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy for their Sketch-A-Thon. I'm inspired by the sketches, and I'm getting a lot done! The papers, stickers, and title on this layout are all Sassafras. The flowers are Primas, and the buttons are from my stash. I think this is very fun! I love the primary colors!

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

. . . we're on our way! . . .

I am just on a roll with creating layouts! And, of course, it's another Disney layout! These are photos of us on one of the Walt Disney World transportation buses for the first time heading to our first park, Epcot! The excitement of actually being on the way to our first park was awesome! I used another sketch at Scrap-Friendzy.

Here's a closeup of page one which features Emily and Dave.

Here's a closeup of page two which features Jessica and me. Most of the papers and the die cuts are by October Afternoon. The orange paper is Cosmo Cricket. The title is foam Thickers.

I hope to continue creating a layout every day. I hope to have another one to show you tomorrow! I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Another Disney Layout!

If feels so good to be scrapping, and I am on a roll with the Disney layouts! Here's another one!

This is based on Sketch #3 over at the Sketch-A-Thon that's going on at Scrap-Friendzy. I'm having a lot of fun using the sketches! This page is all Earth Love by Cosmo Cricket except for the ribbon which is Making Memories, the straight pin which is Maya Road, and the transparency swirl which is My Mind's Eye. I did some more sewing on my page and a lot of distressing. I love the way it turned out!

I hope you have a great Monday. The girls went back to school today, and that always makes me sad. I love having them at home! Thanks for stopping by!

25 Days Until Christmas - Days 23 - 25

I finished and finally had a chance to photograph the rest of the pages in my 25 Days Until Christmas book! I really love the way my book turned out, and once again, I'm so glad I created it!

The first page for Day 23 features my aproned girls working in the kitchen! We did so much baking and cooking, and it was a lot of fun!

Over the second page for Day 23 I put in an envelope that is holding our Secret Santa slips of paper that Jessica created for when we picked who we would be buying for, and it also contains all of the receipts for the Secret Santa gifts!

The second Day 23 page has a photo of all of the Secret Santa gifts. This is our second year doing the Secret Santa, and it was as much fun this year as it was last year! We all got awesome gifts!

Day 24 features our family portrait in front of the fireplace. This photo turned out GREAT, and it was our first take! The camera was on a timer, and I was so impressed with the sound of the camera catching Princess' attention! Awesome photo!

Day 25 shows my wonderful girls all decked out in their Old Navy gifts! I picked out jackets, gloves, and hats for them both. They LOVE them, and they sure are cute in them!!

The second page for Day 25 features a cute photo of Jessica, Emily, and Princess in front of the fireplace. They are wearing their Old Navy pajamas and fuzzy socks (well, you can't see the fuzzy socks!) They really love all of their Old Navy clothes which makes me very happy! Princess also has a couple of her gifts in front of her! I love these three so much!

So, that's my book for this year! I really love the way it turned out, and I feel a huge sense of accomplishment for getting it done! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Thanks for stopping by!
