Celebrate

The current challenge for July over at inspireME is to create a birthday layout. Here is my page for this challenge.

I used Websters Pages, and I created a wonderful paper strip flower from one of the papers. My flower was inspired by Pink Paislee flowers that I have seen online. I love this page with photos of the four of us!

Here's my paper strip flower. So easy! I will be making more. I'm getting out the pinking shears for the next one!

Here's another view. Fun stuff!

I hope you have a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

SG2 - a little something

Here is my card for the 2nd sketch over at Sketch Girl.

I used Making Memories Just Chillin' paper. I added Maya Road sheer ribbon, and I sewed on a button. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set. I love the way this turned out!

Here is SG2. It's such a fun sketch!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Layout and Card From Scraps

Here's a layout that I made last night. I love it!

Jessica just turned 12, but this is her on her 11th birthday. I used We R papers, die cuts, and chipboard letters. You gotta love those paper stacks you get for 50% off at Michael's! Anyway, this is for a challenge over on the Paper Popsicles forum. It was a "soup" layout, and it needed to include: ribbon, stamp, journaling, recycle, flower, sewing, and heart. Got it all, and I love it all! You can click on the layout to see it larger.

Another challenge on the site was to create a layout and then use your scraps to make a card. So, I kinda cheated on this one, because I combined the challenges. Well, there's just not enough time in the day, is there? Love this too!

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

UR adorable!

I love the sketches at 2 Sketches 4 You, but I don't play along as often as I should! This week, I created a card based on Laura's Sketch 31. I love the way it turned out!

The design team at 2S4Y used Just Rite Stamps. I love Just Rite stamps, but unfortunately, I don't own any! I know . . . it should be a crime! Anyway, when I think cute, circular sentiments, I think . . . The Cutting Cafe'! Regina creates the cutest circular sentiments! This is one of her 99 cents specials! It's the UR so adorable word circle! Cute, huh? I cut it out with my Coluzzle and mounted it on a Nestabilities scallop circle. I did a ton of distressing on this card, and added a lot of chalk ink. I threaded a gorgeous ribbon through the medallion, and I sewed on a Making Memories button. As a final touch, I added a straight pin. Love it!

Here's a close up of the button, ribbon, and pin combination. I love these straight pins! I love this sketch, and I love this card! I also used an awesome card kit that Wendy from ScrapCity sent to me! Fun stuff!

I hope you have a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Great Job . . . Well Done!

This card is a triple whammy! It features three things I'm going to tell you about!

First off, it features a FREE printable sentiment that you can get right now at The Cutting Cafe'. That's right . . . I said FREE!! The set is called I Have Faith In You, and Regina is offering the whole set FREE for a limited time only. You should check it out!

Next, I created the card based on the above sketch that is posted on the Paper Popsicles blog. Cute, huh? Last, but certainly not least, I made the card with a card kit that I received from the wonderful Wendy from ScrapCity. We exchanged card kits, and I love what she sent! The blue and the yellow is so FUN!

This is my second post today, so make sure you check out my Moxie Fab challenge cards below! I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!

Here is the birthday card that I made for Jessica's 12th birthday!

It's based on a challenge at Moxie Fab World. It's a bag lady challenge, and Cath posted photos of various bags, and letting them inspire me, I created the above card. Jessica LOVED it! I did a ton of sewing on the card! I added the ribbon to mimic the straps on the purse. The ribbon charm represents the purse's hardware. I think this is a fun card!

I had all of the scraps sitting on my desk, so I created a second one. I wanted to put the squares on an angle just like the bag! I love this one too!

This is the bag that inspired me! Fun challenge! Jessica also had a very fun birthday!! Where does the time go?

I hope you had a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

fashion designers!

My latest layout features my awesome fashion designers! They got plain white t-shirts from the local library, and they could do whatever they wanted to the shirts before they revealed them at the fashion show. I think they both did an AMAZING job!

Since they're both brilliant and creative, I thought it would be cool to have the photo surrounded by rays of paper. So SUPERSTAR! I love the way the paper rays turned out! The title was done with GCD Studios chipboard and vinyl Thickers. I won the GCD Studios chipboard from Paper Crafts Connection! The paper is Making Memories, and I created a matching journaling circle using my Coluzzle and Nestabilities. I added some gorgeous Primas with Making Memories glitter brads, and I added fantastic velvet Cosmo Cricket ribbon on the bottom of the page. Last . . . I added part of the Rit dye packaging! You can click on the page to see it larger. I just LOVE the way this turned out! Awesome page featuring my most talented girls!!

I hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

Six cards!

Over at ScrapCity, three of us decided to create and exchange cards kits. It's fun to do, because you get rid of some of your crap . . . uhm, I mean "stash", and you get a card kit in return. Anyway, I create two identical cards kits for Wendy and Audrey, and they both are sending me a kit in return. I already got Audrey's kit (I forgot to take a pic of the kit first, sorry!), and I made six cards using the kit!

I allowed myself to use tools (punches), ink, and stamps for the cards, but nothing else. I wanted to use JUST the kit. It wasn't until the last card that I added something. I added the ribbon, because the card just had to have ribbon!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy your Monday, and thanks for stopping by!

I LOVE MY CAMERA!

I was inspired to create another layout using my July kit from Studio Calico! I've been wanting to scrapbook this photo of me with my camera for a while now, and the July kit called Documentary has a travel/photography theme, so now was the perfect time!

This layout not only uses a Studio Calico kit, it also uses a sketch that was posted on the Studio Calico blog! The July kit came with a very cool camera stamp, and I stamped it in Versamark right above my title. It is very subtle, and I think it looks cool! I just used items from the kit! I sewed a lot of buttons on this page! You can click on the layout to see all of the little details. I love the way this turned out!!

I hope you're having an awesome Friday! Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Groovy!

I made my first layout using a Studio Calico Kit! I love it! This is from the July kit called Documentary.

I don't think I could have found a more perfect paper for the girls all dressed up in their tie-dye t-shirts! I used just items in the kit except for stamps from a Stampin' Up set. Please click on the photo to see all of the fun details! I did a lot of detail cutting with the flowers! I'm really thrilled with this page!!

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!

The Cutting Cafe' - GIVEAWAY!

I'm so excited, because Regina told me that I can do a GIVEAWAY for The Cutting Cafe'. I get to giveaway a NEW set! I've used it three times already! It's the Assorted Bubble Phrases Set, and it's wonderful!

Here's my newest card using the Assorted Bubble Phrases from The Cutting Cafe'! Once again, I used my new stamp set Night Light by October Afternoon. Isn't he cute? Doesn't he look just like the type of monster who would be very honest with his feelings? He's just putting it all out there and telling the recipient, "I Like You!" This card is all Basic Grey. What do you think?

Here are all three cards that I made using the set! They're all Basic Grey, and they're all so FUN! You can click on the images to see them larger! So, let me tell you more about the Assorted Bubble Phrases set! The set contains 40 bubbles of 20 different phrases. PLUS, there are 2 blank bubbles that you can customize yourself. Each phrase comes in a bubble with the arrow pointing to the left and to the right. Are you excited about this set? I thought you would be! So, leave a comment for me, and I will randomly draw a winner on Saturday! GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Prima hello card

Before I show you a card, check out the Hero Arts blog! It's their BIG WEEK!! Giveaways galore!

I mentioned yesterday that I participated in some challenges over at Scrapbook News & Review. They had a Spring Into Summer Event. This is the second card that I did for a challenge.

It was based on a sketch, and this challenge was an "Ode to our Sponsors Challenge". One of the sponsors was Prima, so my card is all about Prima. I used five different Prima papers, all of which are from the Sasha Collection. I also added two Prima flowers from the Rock On collection. Such a colorful card!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Smile - Hello Sunshine Card

So, I had time yesterday to participate in some challenges over at Scrapbook News & Review. They had a Spring Into Summer Event. I did five card challenges, and I'll show them to you this week. This is the first one.

This card was for a Bingo Challenge. We could take a row, column, or diagonal line on the Bingo Card provided and create with the requirements in each square. So, for this card, I did the B row, and it consisted of:
  • 2 or more patterned papers - Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine
  • Ribbon, lace, or trim - red and white gingham ribbon
  • Distress - with my edge distresser and chalk ink
  • Stitching - I sewed on a button and I added a little cross stitch
I'm loving the way this turned out, and it was fun to make. I hope you're having a great weekend. Enjoy your Sunday, and thanks for stopping by!

Oh no!

I think I'm going to do a set of cute monster cards! This is the second one! I used a blank word bubble that will be in an upcoming set at The Cutting Cafe'. I printed the blank word bubble, and then just printed the text inside.

This frazzled monster is from a stamp set called Night Light by October Afternoon. Doesn't he look very worried about something? I think it's because he forgot someone's birthday! Once again, I used all Basic Grey papers. I punched some flowers with a Fiskars punch, added some ric rac, and a few rhinestones. I just think this is CUTE, and I'll have to work on another cute monster!

I hope you have a GREAT weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

I Need A Hug!

I'm so excited to be showing you a sentiment from an upcoming set at The Cutting Cafe'. It's called Assorted Bubble Phrases, and I'm going to be using it A LOT! The "I Need A Hug!" in the word bubble is from this upcoming set!

I just got the October Afternoon stamp set called Night Light, and that cute monster is from that stamp set! He looks like he needs a hug, doesn't he? I decked this card out in Basic Grey. I love the way it turned out! I love the pink and green! I used my Nestabilities to cut the brown piece on the card front. I think this card is FUN, and I'm off to make another Night Light card!

I also want to mention that my awesome blogging friend Chris made the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Top 15!! Whoop Whoop!! I am so excited for her! Her wedding card is absolutely gorgeous, and her Top 15 spot is TOTALLY deserved! I cannot wait to see her NEXT card!! You go Chris!

There is a blog hop at Paper Popsicles tomorrow! Check it out on Saturday on the Paper Popsicles blog!

I hope you're having a fabulous Friday! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You

Do you ever have cards that you NEED to send out, but for some reason, you're just very SLOW about it? That's pretty much me all the time! I really need to send out a thank you card, and I finally made it today!

I really wanted to show off the cut work in the Chelsea's Closet paper from Making Memories, so I mounted it directly on the card front. Isn't it pretty? I also used Chelsea's Closet tiny alpha stickers, two flowers, and a button. I did an asymmetrical gatefold on this card.

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

I Found You!

I created a card using my wonderful Sassafras Hog Heaven paper! I love this paper!

I just love the one little blue guy on this sheet of paper! I decided to create a card featuring him! I thought of the sentiment, "I am lucky because I found YOU!", and I decided it was perfect! I created the scallop circle with my Nestabilities. The sentiment is done with Making Memories tiny alpha stickers, and the "YOU!" is Sassafras. I just love the way this turned out! I think it's adorable and sweet!

I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

So Sorry

I needed a sympathy card for a blogging friend, and this is what I came up with.

I used Websters Pages papers and ruffled ribbon trim. I detail cut leaves to put under the sentiment that I stamped with my Karen Foster snap stamps. I added a Kaiser red pearl trio. I also added a Petaloo flower with a hand sewn button.

I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
