More Simple Stories Summer Fresh

I created a lot with my Simple Stories Summer Fresh June guest DT kit that I got from Memorable Seaons!  Here's more!

I made this card for my dad for Father's Day.  Just kept it clean and simple!

I wanted to use a fun Stampin' Up stamp I got recently from the flea market I went to, so I inked it up and put it on a card.  Fan mail . . . cracks me up!

You can never have too many birthday cards, so I made one!  I think it's cute!

This was for a doodling challenge at Memorable Seasons.  I did all of the doodling freehand!  I love the way it turned out!  I just kept turning the page and adding more.  It was fun!

This was for a challenge to deviate from the norm.  Well, I normally buy a ton of stamps and then I don't use them.  So, on this layout, I stamped!  A lot!  Cute, huh!?!  I used a bunch of stamps.

Anyway, I created A LOT with my kit!  It was fun!  Thanks for having me Memorable Seasons!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

June Guest Designer at Memorable Seasons!

I am very excited to be the June Guest Designer at Memorable Seasons!  I got an awesome Simple Stories Summer Fresh kit to work with!  I have created A LOT with the kit already, but I'm just going to show you these two projects for now.  Here's a layout I created.

I love finding the crazy self-portraits that Emily and Jessica take on my camera!  They always make me laugh!  This is typical Emily and Jessica, and I love it!  I did a lot of angles and crazy sewing on this page to go with the CRAZY theme!  I also detail cut a camera from an Amy Tangerine Sketchbook paper!  I love that little detail!  The stamps I used are by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous.

This is a card I created with the collection.  I bought some fabulous May Arts ribbon, and I just had to feature it on my card!  You can find awesome products at great prices in the Memorable Seasons online store.  That's where I buy almost everything that I use when I scrapbook!

Stay tuned for a lot more projects using my kit!  Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Layout and Card

Here's a fall layout and a card that I made recently. I love Fall! ♥ I used some Making Memories items that I bought on clearance at Michael's a couple of years ago. I really miss the Making Memories collections. They haven't come out with anything that I truly love in quite some time. I only have a couple of those silk fall leaves left. I need to get some more for my stash.

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

LWE Marching Griffins

I created this layout using the NEW amazing July/August STORYTIME kit at Inspired to Scrap! I ♥ it! This is also based on a sketch by Audrey at Memorable Seaons. It's for the LSS contest, and even though I was kicked to the curb, I'm still playing along. I did a lot of inking and distressing on this layout!

This is my favorite part of the layout! I stitched a star! It looks AWESOME!!

Here's a close up of the smaller photos! You can see my talented girls in action!

I've had these tickets in my stash for a while, so I used them because I loved the stars with the wood veneer stars! I added some Technique Tuesday stamps to the layout too!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

We Love The 4th Of July

I created this layout for Layout Challenge Friday on the Bo Bunny Blog! I really loved the sketch, and I also loved another feature on their blog this week, Mixing Collections. Not only did I mix collections, but I used collections that don't have ANYTHING to do with the 4th of July! I used Whooligans, Crazy In Love, and Cambridge on this layout, and I LOVE the way it turned out! I added a lot of stitching, I detail cut the harlequin from a Cambridge paper, and I circle punched the pops of color from a Whooligans sheet. The stars are Cambridge chipboard, and I stamped a journaling stamp on another Whooligans paper! The red strip of paper, and the word "love" in the title are both from Crazy In Love! I sanded the edges of the photos, and I did a lot of distressing on the papers. I seriously had the best time putting this layout together!! You can click on it to see it larger!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Echo Park For The Record cards

I recently got the Echo Park For The Record collection, and I really love it! I created these two cards using it. These cards are both rejects from the Paper Crafts sketches call. That's OK. I love them! :) The first card uses a Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous stamp. I love that sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gift Card Holders

I created a couple of fun gift card holders over the weekend. These really just took me a few minutes! I used some awesome Cosmo Cricket double-sided paper, put in a couple of folds, stitched on my machine, added a couple of stamps, some glitter leaves, a flower, and a button! Done! Cute as can be!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We have one Christmas celebration done, and one to go! We had a wonderful time celebrating! Thanks for stopping by!

Spider's Web Creations!

I got more fabulous goodies from the most awesome Stephanie at CraftySteals! She sent me the My Mind's Eye Spider's Web collection to work with! Oh my goodness, I love Halloween, I love this collection, and I love what I created!

Is this not the coolest layout ever!?! I love these papers! This is from Halloween 2006! Aren't the girls CUTE!?! I just love the way this turned out!

Here are my Candy Monsters! I love it! I did lots of stitching on this page! I cut that cool large shape on my Cricut Expression! The Pink Paislee glitter chipboard letters are the perfect touch!

Here's a fun, overly distressed card! I really like the way this turned out!

There were some fun spider elements in the collection, and I decided to create a Halloween card featuring them! Very cool!

Thanks Stephanie for the opportunity to play with more awesome goodies from CraftySteals! I really ♥ CraftySteals! I hope you're all having a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Summer 2010

We're issuing some awesome assignmentz and challengez at Scrap-Friendzy's Scrap University!! This is my challenge for an extra credit assignment called "Dean's List!" Here's what our Scrap U studentz needed to do to make the Dean's List:

  1. Journal as a list!
  2. Since summer is ending . . . include photos from THIS summer!
  3. Include FIVE OR MORE photos!

Not too difficult . . . right!?! My layout features twelve photos, and instead of it being a Summer Top 10, it's a Summer Top 11!! I totally think of Spinal Tap when I say that! Anyway, I love the way this turned out!

I hope you're having a GREAT day! Thanks for stopping by!

September Guest Designer at CraftySteals!

I am the Guest Designer at CraftySteals today! Stephanie is wonderful, and she sent me some Martha Stewart stamps to work with! I created four projects!

First, I used the stamps on this layout! I stamped the border stamps down the side of the layout and under the photo. I stamped the scallop circle down the other side of the layout. I love the way that looks! Then I stamped a plaid circle ring on striped paper and made a journaling circle! I repeatedly stamped a small asterisk/flower stamp in the white strip under the phone. I also stamped a butterfly and a heart, detail cut them, and then added them to the layout. I really love the way this turned out! I love incorporating stamping on my layouts!

Next, I decided to stamp a fun scallop flower trio. The scallop ring and the inner ring are two separate stamps, but I stamped them together. I then used an asterisk/flower stamp and repeatedly stamped it across the card front. Last, I stamped a butterfly, detail cut it, added some rhinestones, and then added it to my card. I love this card! It's bright and fun! It's a happy card!

I decided to try a monochromatic card, and I love the way this turned out! I stamped two butterflies. One is directly on the card front, and the other was stamped on white cardstock, detail cut, and added to the bottom of the card. I stamped the scallop border stamp across the bottom of the card front, and I also stamped it twice on an angle so that it formed a corner design. As you can tell, I really like that asterisk/flower stamp, because I used it again when I stamped a trio on this card front! I'm digging this monochromatic card!

Last, I used one of the elegant flower stamps in a trio, and stamped a simple sentiment under them. I think this card is elegant! I love the way it turned out!

I had a lot of fun creating these projects for Stephanie to feature on the CraftySteals blog! If you check out the blog post, please leave a comment!! Thank you Stephanie for asking me to be one of your guest designers at CraftySteals! It's a thrill! I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Jumping For Joy

I created this layout for a challenge at Memorable Seasons to use a cardstock base and a household item to create a pattern. I used paint on bubble wrap as a big stamp, and then I also used corrugated cardboard to stamp some journaling lines. I liked the way the cardboard looked, so I added it to my layout. I stamped a Studio Calico stamp, and I also stamped two Unity stamps from the July stampin' store kit that I got from Crafty Steals! I love the butterfly! I didn't have a white corrugated Jillibean Soup "y" for my title, so I traced the negative, and I drew in lines so that it would fit in with the rest of the title. I love using paint on my layouts, and I really like the way this turned out!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

ippity cards

ippity released new stamps yesterday, and there was a big party over on SplitCoast! There were three challenges, I did all three of them, and I WON one of them!! I get a stamp set from the new release! How exciting is that!?!

I created this card for a color challenge, and this is the card that was randomly drawn as the WINNER!! Woohoo! The colors were lilac, turquoise, and green. I would never have put these colors together, but I love the way it turned out. Better yet? I used all scraps on this card! I also used three ippity stamps!

This was for a SPRING challenge. Each letter is spring represented a required element. Scallops, piercing, ribbon, ink, new, and green. Fun!! I used just one ippity stamp on this card, but I love it!

The last challenge was based on a great sketch! How fun! I used My Mind's Eye papers. I really like the way this turned out! Emily told me that she LOVES this card, so I know who I'm giving it to!!

I hope you have a great day! Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

South Rim

Over on the Unity Forum at SCS, they posted two cool sketches for NSD. I created using this sketch right away! Love it!

Here's my page! The background is Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend, the half circle scallop sheet is My Little Shoebox. The strip across the page is My Mind's Eye. I also used fantastic Jillibean Soup corrugated letters and Prima felt letters in my title. I did a lot of sewing on this layout too, and broke out the paint! Last, but certainly not least, I used amazing Unity and ippity stamps on my layout! I used Distressed Dots, Love In Return, Life's Little Moments, and Capture Life. Unity and ippity stamps are AMAZING for scrapbooking!! I love the way this page turned out!! You can click on the layout to see it larger and to get a better look at the stamping! ♥

Did you get time to play for National Scrapbooking Day? I hope so! I'm working on the 2nd sketch today (almost finished!), and I hope to create all day long! We'll see! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

5 Things

My awesome blogging friend Chris gave me a gift certificate to use to Papertrey Ink for my birthday! I made a purchase, and then I used my new items to make her a thank you card! This card features one of the stamp sets that I bought, Top Ten. Chris is genuine, kind, very funny, so thoughtful, and extremely generous! I really like the way this turned out, and Chris liked her card too!

I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Rafiki

I created this layout to challenge the members at Scrap-Friendzy to "get out those stamps and use them on a layout"! This page features cardstock, various papers, one photo, and one sticker. Everything else is stamping! It was actually fun to create a page with a lot of stamping. I mostly used a Stampin' Up set, and I also used some Autumn Leaves acrylic stamp sets. I love this photo of the girls meeting Rafiki at Magic Kingdom! I love the way this page turned out!

I hope you're having a great week so far. Thanks for stopping by!

Downtown Disney

I'm going to be getting back to my Disney layouts! This one features Jessica "shopping" at the huge Disney store in Downtown Disney. Both of the girls loved trying on all of the hats. Jessica really liked the cute stuffed yeti too! The blue patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye, and I cut the shape on my Cricut Expression. The top photo has a strip of Cosmo Cricket paper next to it. I stamped the "checklist" Unity stamp on a small brown paper bag that I had on my desk. I added some cork letters for the title, and drew a black marker border around the page. Finally, I added some Primas and rhinestones. I'm not too sure I'm digging the shape that I cut the blue paper in, but I don't do pages over, so it will have to be fine!!

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Some cards!

I haven't made cards for a while now! I created these for a challenge over at Memorable Seasons. We were challenged to use two certain items (ribbon, circles, sparkle, etc.) on our cards, and the sentiment had to be food related.

For this first one, I used the wonderful Mr. Campy by Cosmo Cricket. I love this little marshmallow guy!! I hand cut the heart, and I created the "I love you s'more!!" sentiment on the computer. I love Mr. Campy!!

This second one features a fun Unity stamp set that I purchased. I did a little bit of coloring, added beautiful lime green lace, and a very cool felt flower. I love this!

This card features a $1 acrylic stamp that Dave and the girls got for me. The grill is so cute! I colored it, cut it out with my Coluzzle, and then threaded it on the gingham ribbon. I created the sentiment on the computer. I love the picnic feel to this card!

I used my Coluzzle to create a circle card. I added a Pink Paislee journaling piece to the front, and I added some Stickles to the cherry to give it some sparkle. I also added a Prima. I think it's cute!

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!!

Be Yourself

My most wonderful and very talented friend Chris participated in the Scrap and Stamp Blog Hop with an amazing layout that she created based on a sketch. So, I decided to use the sketch too, and I created this layout! The theme is "love". I love my wonderful girls very much, and I love this photo of Jessica and Emily on the last day of school. Do you think they're excited about summer vacation!?! I used a lot of Making Memories Just Chillin'. I love the entire collection! I stamped the title and a couple sentiments on the layout. I think this layout is very fun, and I'm happy with the way it turned out!

I hope you are having a very nice Saturday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

So many hats . . . so little time!

I did another layout based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy's Sketch-A-Thon. This is my silly Jessica trying on a bunch of hats at Animal Kingdom. She came up with the title for the page! The papers, die cuts, and ribbon are Fancy Pants. I love the way this turned out.

Next, I want to show you a gift that I received in the mail yesterday from the most wonderful Jodi (Scrapronicity). Jodi and I both did Project 365, and we both kept Project 365 blogs. We kept each other going by checking to see how we were doing, commenting on the posts, etc. So, we were most definitely Project 365 buddies! So, Project 365 is over, and Jodi sent me this gift as a thank you for sticking with her for the entire year! Oh my goodness, it's just unbelievable and the sweetest thing ever that she would think to do this for me! Let's take a look at this amazing mini album!

I was overwhelmed taking it out of the pink bag and seeing the cover, and then when I opened to this first page, I got so choked up and misty! She got this photo off of my Project 365 blog! The quote on the facing page is one of my absolute favorites!

Look at those TINY snowflakes on January, and the paper doll has an "e" on it for Emily, and it's before February, because Emily's birthday is in February! Amazing!

Between March and April, there is a Princess page! OMG, it's so cute, and she has a tiara on! How perfect is that?

The backside of the Princess page is totally fabulous too!!

Here is April and May! April is sporting some of my most favorite Basic Grey Ambrosia paper! I love it!

Between June and July is a doll with "J" on it, because Jessica's birthday is in July. Once again, amazing!

Look at the little popsicles on August! Then there is another photo, and the quote next to it is wonderful! It says, "Let me play in the sunshine; let me sing for joy; let me grow in the light; let me spash in the rain, and remember the days of childhood forever." LOVE it!

Another favorite quote of mine is before September! "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away." How true!

After October, around the swirl stamp, it says, "to love and be loved . . . is to feel the sun from both sides." Nice!

Here is November and December, and check out the little Christmas tree and the blue star!

Even the back cover is GORGEOUS! Can you believe this gift? It's amazing, and I love it, and Jodi is WONDERFUL to have made this for me! I'm overwhelmed, and I will TREASURE it! Thank you Jodi from the bottom of my heart!!

I hope you're having a great day, enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
