Bootiful

I used some brand new American Crafts Nightfall on this layout. My background sheet is Tim Holtz ink resist kraft. This photo represents the end of an era, because only one of my girls dressed up for Halloween last year. Time passes by too quickly! This is based on a sketch by Stacey at Inspired to Scrap.

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

LWE Marching Griffins

I created this layout using the NEW amazing July/August STORYTIME kit at Inspired to Scrap! I ♥ it! This is also based on a sketch by Audrey at Memorable Seaons. It's for the LSS contest, and even though I was kicked to the curb, I'm still playing along. I did a lot of inking and distressing on this layout!

This is my favorite part of the layout! I stitched a star! It looks AWESOME!!

Here's a close up of the smaller photos! You can see my talented girls in action!

I've had these tickets in my stash for a while, so I used them because I loved the stars with the wood veneer stars! I added some Technique Tuesday stamps to the layout too!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

"A Bit Of Sunshine" kit layouts

This is the first layout I created using the "A Bit Of Sunshine" kit at Inspired to Scrap! I love this kit!! What a value! The Bella Blvd. Sophisticates collection is really nice! LOVE it! The kit also features Echo Park, Lily Bee Design, and American Crafts!

One of the layered American Crafts pieces that I got in the kit reminded me of the sun, so that's what I used it for! I hand cut the rays and inked them up with a little orange on the edges.

I love the Ciao Bella Blvd. chipboard pieces that come in this kit. I added a circle scallop that I cut with one of my Nestabilities templates under the chipboard. I love the way it looks! It's like a little flower!

There is some American Crafts tulle in the kit too, and I cut mine with the Nestabilities and then used some glimmer mist on the pieces! I love the way these flowers turned out! The glimmer mist worked really well on the tulle!

Here is my second layout using the kit! I love this photo! While we were on vacation in Arizona, Emily and Jessica would take silly self portraits on my camera! I, of course, love that! This is one of them! Classic! I love these two girls! ♥ The title is perfect for the photo!!

I just had to add googly eyes to the title! Googly eyes crack me up!!

So, I love this kit! Check it out in the Inspired to Scrap store! You will love it! I'll be working more with it this week! Check out the forum for more awesome DT layouts featuring this kit! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Student Government Day

I really need to get moving and get organized with my scrapping! I need to get productive and put all of my albums together! I have HUNDREDS of layouts waiting to go into albums! One of these days! Anyway, I couldn't believe I didn't scrap Emily's Student Government Day yet! In 8th grade, she was picked to be the Village President! How cool is that!?! She did a GREAT job! They even had a mock board meeting! She was very impressive sitting in that chair! I used Pink Paislee Old School. I love this collection! I love the way this turned out! The star that I added was from a clothing tag!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Cards For My Girls!

Here are a couple of cards I made in the last couple of weeks for my girls!

This is Emily's birthday card! How is it possible that she's 15 years old!?! I used Pink Paislee and a Petaloo flower. I love the flip notes! That shape is so fun!

Jessica also made her Confirmation! Once again, I used Pink Paislee. This time I used Queen Bee. Seriously, I love the flip notes! I also typed up the sentiment, printed it on the patterned paper, and then cut it out with one of my circle scallop Nestabilities.

I hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Freshman Flute 2010

I created this layout for a scraplift challenge at Coordinates Collections. I love the Pink Paislee Anthology ink resist papers! They are so cool! I sewed a heart on the layout, featured a wonderful photo of Emily in her marching band show uniform, and then just added journaling next to the photo. I used some Bo Bunny Cambridge letters and some Cosmo Cricket tiny type. The stickers borders are also Bo Bunny Cambridge. I love the way this turned out. It's very simple, but striking!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

A Layout for FUN!

I finished a layout yesterday that I created just for FUN! It isn't for a challenge, it's not based on a sketch, it is just something that I wanted to work on! What a concept! I used some new Sassafras Indie Girl papers. I love them! These are photos of Emily marching in her first high school parade on the 4th of July. Wow, was it HOT! What a trooper! I love the way this turned out!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

How Can It Be?

This is for the Last Scrapper Standing challenge over at Memorable Seasons. I got kicked to the curb and didn't advance, but I love the next challenge, so I'm still playing along! LOL! I came across this photo of Emily and Jessica when I was sorting pictures. So, I journaled it with today's perspective. The title is: How Can It Be?, and the hand-written journaling reads: "That ten years go by in the blink of an eye? These girls amaze me on a daily basis! Being their mom is an honor and a privilege! Wow, I love these two!" Photo-11/4/99, Journaling-7/2/2010.

I really love the way this turned out! These two amazing girls are all grown up now! How can it be? I used distress ink, Making Memories papers, a Maya Road journaling sheer, I did some sewing, and added lace and ribbon. The crocheted flower was made by my Emily! Isn't it gorgeous?

I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

5 Things

My awesome blogging friend Chris gave me a gift certificate to use to Papertrey Ink for my birthday! I made a purchase, and then I used my new items to make her a thank you card! This card features one of the stamp sets that I bought, Top Ten. Chris is genuine, kind, very funny, so thoughtful, and extremely generous! I really like the way this turned out, and Chris liked her card too!

I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Animal Kingdom

This is just a quick page I put together that features two very cool photos of the girls standing by this amazing tree just inside the gates in Animal Kingdom. The huge ornaments on the tree were fantastic! I used some very old animal print papers by Creative Memories!! The blue sheet is My Mind's Eye. I added some Primas, buttons, and twine! I also did some machine sewing around the entire layout. The title is chipboard Thickers. This page is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy.

I hope you enjoy your Friday. Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Cool Red Phone Booth

Another Disney layout! I am really enjoying getting a lot done for our Disney album! This is based on another sketch that is posted at the Scrap Friendzy Sketch-A-Thon. I had these two photos with the red phone booth in the Epcot World Showcase, so I went with a monochromatic color scheme. In the first photo, Jessica is actually inside the phone booth, and in the second, Emily is standing outside of it.

I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Four More Disney Layouts!

Using sketches posted at the Sketch-A-Thon over at Scrap-Friendzy, I got FOUR more Disney layouts done this weekend! So cool!

This layout features us waiting in a VERY long line for Soarin'. The bottom photo cracks me up. Jessica is pointing to her pretend watch to emphasize that we've been waiting a long time! It didn't matter though, because Soarin' is worth the wait! We loved it!

This layout is for Test Track! This also was worth the wait! Such a fast ride, and we loved it! We went on this quite a few times! Awesome! I love the October Afternoon papers and die cuts that I used on this page!

This layout features Emily trying on some fun hats at Animal Kingdom! The girls loved trying on the cool hats! I used a cool Jenni Bowlin journaling heart! I love the way this layout turned out! So fun!

This is another page that features the photos I took during the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at Animal Kingdom. Very cool animals! Amazing attraction! I used Cosmo Cricket Earth Love! It will coordinate with the first page that I created featuring the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction.

I hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

* no cameras!

This is another Disney layout, and it's based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy. I love the silly smile on Dave! He's so funny! These papers are ScrapWorks, and I've had them for a VERY long time. It's nice to use them! I cut the large circle on my Expression, and the little bubble circles using my Coluzzle.

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Extreme Close-Ups

I love these four photos from our Disney trip! We were waiting in a very long line for Toy Story Midway Mania at Hollywood Studios. In order to amuse ourselves, we all snapped an extreme close-up self-portrait! I think they turned out great, and I love showcasing them on this two-page layout. The papers are all My Mind's Eye. I cut the big brackets on my Expression. I also added Primas and Making Memories glitter brads. This is based on a one-page sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy. I just did a mirror image of the sketch for the facing page.

Here's a better look at page one which features me and Emily.

Here's a closer look at page two which features Jessica and Dave. What fun!

Here's another look at the pages together. I love the way this turned out.

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

More Layouts!

I am having so much fun working on layouts! I created a couple more this weekend!

I love this photo of the girls that I took on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I used Making Memories Passport on this project. I love this collection! The canvas letters that I used for the title are so cool!

I also did another Disney layout! I had three random shots from Epcot, so I just put them all on the same layout. This is Cosmo Cricket Get Happy.

Both of these layouts are based on sketches that are posted at the Sketch-A-Thon at Scrap-Friendzy. I'm having a lot of fun working with the sketches, and I'm getting a lot done!

I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Random Shots from Disney

I created a layout that features three random shots from our Disney trip. I took a photo of the number that was on the building where we stayed, our room number, and a cute bottle of shampoo/conditioner along with an engraved bar of soap! Seriously, the Mickey Mouse engraved soap is way too cute! I used up some items on this layout that I've have for a long time! This layout is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy.

I hope you're enjoying your day. Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

I'm Rockin' the Disney Layouts!

I got yet another Disney layout done! This one features the girls posing by a fountain that was on the grounds of the Caribbean Beach Resort. The die cuts, papers, ribbon, and journaling notebook piece are all Making Memories Just Chillin'. I also added a Prima flower stack. This is based on a sketch that is posted at Scrap-Friendzy, and it's also for a color combination challenge at Scrapbook Kit Club. I love combining challenges!

I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Back To School

This is a 52 Sketches sketch from this year that was posted at Scrap-Friendzy for their Sketch-A-Thon. I didn't do the sketch when it was originally posted at 52 Sketches, so I was thrilled to complete it now. I used The Boyfriend by Cosmo Cricket. I love this paper collection! I sewed the circle, and I added brads and buttons around the circle. The tickets are by Jenni Bowlin. I love the way this turned out, and I am AMAZED at how much the girls have grown since this photo was taken!!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Musicians

I finally had a chance to use some of my Life Stories paper and die cuts from My Mind's Eye. The kraft color scheme to this collection is so appealing to me! I love this 5x7 of Jessica and Emily. I took it at their last concert of the 2008-2009 school year. I am so proud of their talent and commitment to band. It's so impressive to me that they are musicians! So, the page is mostly Life Stories except for the Core'dinations cardstock, and the music notes paper which is Making Memories Vintage Findings. I also added a Prima, a wood button, and some twine. The title was cut with my QuicKutz. I love the way this turned out. It's based on a sketch that is posted for the Sketch-A-Thon that is going on over at Scrap-Friendzy, and yesterday, my layout was singled out as the Girlfriendz Pick of the Day!

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Jump On In

This is the layout that I created for the fabulous January 7th sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. I love the focus on one photo with minimal embellishments. This is the girls totally enjoying grandma's pool when we were on vacation in Arizona! I just love the way this turned out! I used Cosmo Cricket Snorkel papers and die cut stickers. The felt flower is by American Crafts, and the glitter brad is Making Memories. I used a ton of distress ink, and I misted on the page using Shimmerz Spritz and a little bit of Making Memories paint that I splattered on using an old toothbrush. The paper was VERY warped after all of the spritzing, and even after ironing it (yes, I really ironed it!), I couldn't get it to stay flat, so I decided to sew it to another piece of cardstock. I'm glad I did, because I love the way it looks. I'm crazy about the zig zag stitching, and I've been using it a lot lately! Anyway, I'm thrilled with this layout!

I hope you had a very nice weekend and Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by!
