Paper Popsicles October Card Kit Reveal!

I am VERY excited to show you what I made with the October card kit from Paper Popsicles! I was blown away by how FUN this kit is! It contains:

  • 6 12x12 double-sided patterned papers by KI Memories
  • 6 strips of coordinating ribbon by KI Memories
  • 3 Kraft cards and envelopes
  • 1 Kaiser Kraft rub-on
  • Misc. die cuts by KI Memories
  • flowers
  • 1 felt alpha sticker sheet by K & Company

There is A LOT in this kit! I created all of the items below using just HALF of the paper! That's right, I used only three sheets of the paper! It's double-sided, and gorgeous, and there is A LOT of it! This October card kit (and many other kits too!) are available online at the Paper Popsicles store! Even before I was on the Paper Popsicles design team, I ordered from the Paper Popsicles online store! The selection is fantastic, the kits are awesome and such a great deal, and the shipping and customer service are wonderful!

This witch's boot card uses a shaped-card template from the Paper Popsicles store! I used patterned paper from the kit to make the witch's stocking and to cut the "WICKED" letters! I also punched some holes and laced the boot with ribbon from my stash!

After making ALL of those cards (and some more small cards that I'll show you tomorrow!), I still had SO MUCH left over that I just had to make a layout too! The felt alphabet just HAD TO be showcased as a title on a layout! I added the kraft 12x12 sheet of paper, I used my loopy Martha Stewart border punch, and I added a date stamp. EVERYTHING else was from the kit!

The most impressive things about this kit is that the chipboard is self-adhesive, there is SO MUCH ribbon included, and as I stated above, I only used THREE sheets of paper on ALL of my projects! Truly impressive! I added miscellaneous brads and rhinestones from my stash, but everything else was from the kit! I really loved using this kit, and I'm honored that I got to design with it!! Thank you Melissa and Paper Popsicles! Check out the store when you get a chance! You'll be glad you did!

Have a GREAT day, and thanks for stopping by!

What's Cookin' Good Lookin'

Is this cute or what!?! This is an apron shape and sentiment from The Cutting Cafe'. The apron is from the Apron Shaped Card Set. You get TWO aprons in the set! The sentiment is from the What's Cooking Huge Circle Word Printable Stamp Set. I cut the sentiment out with my Coluzzle and added a Kaiser pearl trio to it. My papers and chipboard are all Sassafrass. I added some CUTE Making Memories button brads to the apron. The ribbon is from my stash. I think this is really cute, and on the inside, I'll be adding "How's about cookin' something up with me?" I think my husband will LOVE this card!!

I hope you're having a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Downtown Disney Harley-Davidson

I just finished this page for a layout sketch challenge at Paper Popsicles. Lynda created the sketch for our "How Creative Can You Be" forum. I flipped the sketch so that it would work with my horizontal photos. These photos are Jessica and Emily posing on the Harley in the front window of the Downtown Disney Orlando Harley-Davidson shop that's a part of Pleasure Island. The girls are just too cool! Stop by Paper Popsicles and create a layout using the sketch!

Date?

So, do you own Unity stamps? I've admired the stamps for a LONG time, but I resisted the addiction until recently! I purchased an AWESOME scrapbooking kit from Unity called Le Chic Vintage, and I am in LOVE! I've been following the Unity blog to see what they're up to, because I am now officially addicted to the stamps, the company, the site, the blog, etc. Angela (who looks like a supermodel by the way!) recently announced a very cool challenge, called the Unity Bachelor Bro Challenge. The challenge was to create a card / invitation for a date and to use Broman's favorite colors: red, black, and green. Challenge accepted! I used stamps and papers from the Le Chic Vintage kit. The papers are Jillibean Soup. I added some Making Memories tiny alphas and ribbon. I hand cut the heart that I added to the ticket. I also added a brad trio in the challenge colors. I also used the Checklist of Life stamp, and I added our anniversary date to the checklist! We will be doing something very fun for our anniversary, and I cannot wait! This card will be perfect to give to Dave on our day! I love the way this turned out, and I cannot wait for the next Unity Challenge!

I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

You're a Heartbreaker!

I love the Making Memories Just Chillin' collection! When I saw the "heartbreaker" and "dream maker" glitter die cuts, the most awesome Pat Benetar "Heartbreaker" song popped into my head, and I just knew that a song lyric on this card would be perfect! I cut the heart freehand, and then I printed the lyric from my computer directly on the heart. I added a couple of Making Memories tiny alphas "xoxo", a Petaloo flower, a Making Memories glitter brad, and some Love, Elsie ribbon. I did a lot of distressing and inking on the papers. A rhinestone trio was the finishing touch. Well, this is another card that I submitted for a publication call at Paper Crafts, and it did not get selected. However, it's in the Making Memories customer gallery this month!! I love it, and I think it's totally cool!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

I created this layout for a "how creative can you be" sketch challenge at Paper Popsicles. Lynda created a fantastic sketch for us to work with. Check it out on the message board or on the blog! The journaling says, "My area is messy & overcrowded, but I love it!" I also used a Petaloo flower, a Prima, rhinestones, buttons, and twine. You can click on the layout to see it larger.

Be Happy

Sometimes I forget that I actually have reject cards to post! This is a card that I created and submitted for a Paper Crafts publication call, and it didn't get selected. That doesn't matter to me, because I absolutely LOVE this card! I used October Afternoon Cherry Hill papers and die cuts that I got from the Paper Popsicles online store! I love this collection! I did a lot of ink distressing and lots of sewing on this card. I even sewed around the half circle! FUN!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Monster - hi

I created this card for the card challenge #16 on the Paper Popsicles blog. Amy created a sketch to inspire us. I also used a digital image from the Paper Popsicles store. This digital image is called "little monsters", and this is just one of the two monsters that you get with the digital image. Isn't he cute? I used new papers that I got in my Sassafras warehouse box! I used colored pencils and gamsol on the monster and added some googly eyes for fun! The "hi" metal pieces and the button are both Making Memories. The blue card base has been Cuttlebug embossed with swiss dots. I also added machine stitching. My bobbin ran out on the bottom of the card, and then the stiching got messed up, but you're not supposed to notice that! This card is very distressed and roughed up, so the bad sewing mishap kinda works here! This is a card I would give my nephew! Seems totally boy and crazy to me!!

Tomorrow, I will be posting some awesome cards that I created with a NEW set from The Cutting Cafe'. It's a secret . . . but I just might be giving the set away!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I will be enjoying the three-day Labor Day weekend for sure! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Halloween

I just LOVE Halloween, fall, crisp cool air, leaves changing color, etc. It's the season of the year that makes me feel wonderful! I love creating Halloween cards! I finally used my wonderful, awesome, and fantastic Martha Stewart Halloween fence stamp. I got this at Michael's on clearance at the end of the season, and I was THRILLED! Isn't it the coolest? I used a Stampin' Up circle stamp to create the "moon". I then stamped the fence right over my moon, so that the bird was featured more prominently. I added a Martha Stewart punched bat to the sky. I sewed on amazing Maya Road grosgrain ribbon. I love that ribbon. The perfect finishing touch? A "Happy Halloween" sentiment from the AMAZING Halloween Labels printable set from The Cutting Cafe'. A trio of rhinestones was the last detail that I added. Spooky, huh?

I hope you have a great day, and as always, thanks for stopping by! BOO!

Did I Scare You?

I just had to create another Halloween card using the awesome Halloween Labels set from The Cutting Cafe'. I love these bracketed labels! I added a stamped image of Frankenstein's monster. He's from a Stampin' Up set called Booglie Eyes. The paper again is Rusty Pickle, the ribbon is from Michael's, and the button are from my stash. I added two strips of crazy sewing machine stitching. Very appropriate for my monster!

I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!
