Groovy

I did this page for a challenge to include some detail cutting on a layout. There are six flowers on this page, and I cut them all from a patterned paper by We R Memory Keepers.

The flourish stamps are by Autumn Leaves, and I added some red rhinestones. The "Groovy" title was cut with my QuicKutz squeeze. Just a fun page of my girls with braids in their hair! I actually have a second page to finish up that goes with this layout. They are the "after" photos when the braids came out!

Any American Idol watchers? I thought the judges were completely crazy last night! I usually agree with Simon for the most part, but I thought he was really harsh with David Cook. Clearly both of them are very talented, but I think David Cook is MUCH better. Oh well, I don't think it will be a surprise when the results are revealed tonight, do you? Was there ever any question that David Archuletta wouldn't become the next AI? Let's just say that I don't agree, but then again . . . I never agree with the final results!! Chris Daughtry is so crazy talented, and he didn't even make the top three! David Cook . . . can't wait for your CD . . . I'll buy it!

I'm off to the doctor today. Two appointments . . . I'm a big believer in getting doctor visits over and done with. I have a mammogram scheduled followed by my first ever trip to a dermatologist. If you're forty or over . . . have you had a mammogram in the last year? If not, schedule one today! That's my public service announcement for the day!

Last but not least, have you commented on Judy's scrapbooking diva bag giveaway! Go check it out. Is that tote fantastic or what?

Have a great day everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

Your girls are so cute, Carol! Love your layout! Totally groovy! :) And don't even get me started on AI last night! David Cook is so talented and deserves to win! I'll also buy his CD when it comes out! Dialidol.com has him winning, but I guess we will see tonight! Good luck at the doctor today. Very smart to schedule them both for the same day!

Love that layout- that blue is perfect! I don't know about AI - I thought I had it down but I'm glad I am not a betting girl- LOL! I would have said hands down that Cook would win - but Archuletta (sp?) sang his heart out last night!! I guess it really doesn't matter in the long run - they both will have a great career after this!

This is such a fun page! The red bling really adds the finishing touch. You have seen Judy's bag, I ordered a t-shirt from her with the same "Scrapbook Diva" embroidered on the front.

We like David Cook in our house too. I was reading an article about how the AI execs don't want D. Archuletta to win because he will be hard to manage, because "they" {meaning his dad} already know how they want David's career to go.
I agree, from all of the things I have heard about his dad he sounds like a "stage dad".
David Cook is going to get a record deal and will be awesome like Daughtry.
Cute page by the way lol

Great layout. How long did it take you to braid their hair?

Thanks for the mention of my blog candy. I put your name in the pot for the mention.
