The challenge this week at the Bitten By The Bug site is to use the star cut that is available on the George cartridge. It's such a simple cut, but it has so many possibilities. You will be amazed at what the design team created, so be sure to check it out! Also, the very talented Regina is looking to add a couple more design team members to the team. Be sure to check that out too! It's so much FUN! Why not give it a try? Here's my card for this week's challenge.
I decided to use the stars on a graduation card for my nephew. I cut two stars and two shadows. I ran the stars through my Cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder. The "you did it!" is also from a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The "Happy Graduation!" and "Reach For The Stars" are both stickers that I had in my stash. The photo corners are Heidi Swapp. My nephews high school colors are burgundy and gold, so I decided to add some burgundy to the card. The dotted ribbon is from Michael's.
I have lots to do today. I have a craft class at the library tomorrow, and I'm not completely prepared for it yet. I need to finish some cutting and get a lot of glue sticks! I'm so behind on blog hopping again, and I'm so sorry about that! I hope to catch up with everyone soon! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Great card - totally perfect for a grad!
This card is just perfection all over, Carol. The whole creation just screams, "you are the best, you are wonderful, I love you dearly and I am so darn proud of you!" I love it!
Oh, before I leave...I put a card on Tamara's sketch blog. I am coming back into the fold with a different approach; if I don't get it done, I don't get it done. I am also going to try out her layout sketches and see how I can do with those.
oh.. great card, love the embossing!
It's fab Carol! A really striking design! Love the "reach for the stars" sentiment too! xx
Handsome card for a guy. Those stars are so nice and bold.
fabulous card Carol, I will definitely pop over to check out the bitten by the bug, been a while since I was there and now I have my cricut I really must get a reason to use it more!
OM heavens Carol what a cool looking card! Love the embossed cs stars! Great job! :)
This is a really neat card. I am envious of the swiss dots embossing -- I love that look -- but don't have the means to do it.
Thank you, Carol, for explaining that you "cut two stars and two shadows". As you know, I am a novice at using the Cricut; and when I read that, it was like a light bulb went off above my head. I immediately had to try cutting an image and a shadow and then had to get hubby to come see what I had learned. I now understand the shadow feature! So again, thank you!
Black and white is so very elegant Carol! I can't believe I sold my bug......ugh!
Great card! I love the black and white theme with just a touch of red
Awesome card, I love all the embossing!

Awesome dude card. I could see that swiss dots pattern superimposed over my vision (on everything in the world!) and never get tired of it, LOL. Love the matching ribbon & layout. You are SO good! :0)
