Journalist In Action

I created this page on Saturday when I was scrappin' with my Diva girlfriends. There is a challenge at ScrapCity to use yellow and red on a layout, so this is my take on that challenge.

This is my oldest daughter in 2005 when she was on the newspaper staff at her school. She wrote an article about the Mayor of our town, and she interviewed him in person. He is such a nice man, and he was so impressed with Emily during the interview! He even took her into the board room and let her sit in his chair. It was a fun experience for Emily. I used some Foofala papers that I've had for a while now. The ribbon under the Prima stack is also Foofala. I stamped an Autumn Leaves stamp for the journaling, and I stamped an Autumn Leaves swirl under the photo. The title was cut on my QuicKutz. I'm very pleased with this page!

I have so much to do around the house today. I need to get into my spring cleaning BIG time! Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Carol, Emily must have had the most fabulous time! Maybe we will be seeing her on the news in the near future! I love this layout, my Friend! You did an awesome job on it! Enjoy your Spring cleaning; I am taking a break from that right now to just sit and enjoy what I am seeing on all the blogs!

Carol, thank you for the comment and I will indeed do some more of Tamara's sketches -- I just won't put pressure on myself to get one done with a deadline. I do love her sketches!

Man she looks a lot like you :). She's going to be very successful...she has a lot of drive already.

I love how you used suttle colors...doesn't look like Mc.D's at all :). The flower with the ribbon below it is a great idea!
