Don't think I'm too crazy, but I created a couple of Christmas cards the other day! I got the 2nd shipment of a QVC Today's Special Value kit that featured Cosmo Cricket. The Christmas kit is just wonderful, and I wanted to dig in and create a couple of cards right away. This is what I came up with.
Everything on this card was in the kit, except for the brads. The kit came with brads, but they are quite large, and I wanted smaller ones to use with the little die cut shapes that I attached to the ribbon. The scallop card is so pretty! I used six precut squares on the card front, and then I attached the diecut sentiment on top. I used a lot of chalk ink distressing on everything. Easy as can be!
Another scallop card, and once again, I swapped out the brads. The only thing not in the kit is the chipboard swirl. I painted it, and then added it to the card front. Again, I did a lot of chalk ink distressing. The ribbon on this card is just gorgeous!
I'm really pleased with the Cosmo Cricket kits that I got from QVC. It's A LOT for the money! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

These are awesome Carol and it's never too early to start your Christmas cards!! Love these both, but the second one is right up my alley! Enjoy your weekend! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
Great cards! I was just thinking last night that I should get into making some cards for the holidays! As much as I don't want to admit that cold weather and snow are right around the corner! blah! But I really should get a jump start on some! It's my first year making my own Christmas Cards...should be interesting...
These look terrific! I love that they are not the typical Christmas cards - but have such an awesome design!
Very cool. Chris got this set too. I still have about 90% of the first kit untouched, I know so bad! I need to do a huge project with them.
Great cards! I love Cosmo Cricket products!
Happy holidays Carol in August (what's left of it)! I have started too making Christmas cards! Your cards are great! Good find on QVC! Deb
They are both beautiful cards Carol and I think you can create Christmas cards all year round, I need so many that I have to other wise it is a crazy panic right into December!
Carol they are lovely. I made the decision at the beginning of the year to make 5 Christmas cards a month. It's now the end of August so I should have 40 cards but I only have 2. How bad am I?? LOL
Both of your Christmas cards are beautiful Carol! I love the first card, the layout and DP are fab together!
Really like these cards. Love that they are "out of the box" so to speak..not the usual Christmas cards that you see everywhere.
Ohhhh Christmas already! I don't think you're strange for it though, just prepared... I already started my shopping! I need to either start making cards or buy some, I haven't sent them out for a while. :(
Wow these are gorgeous - really traditional with a modern zing. I think we may get some CC stuff over on UK QVC - hope so!
I've started a bit of Xmas shopping - have to with the girls! But not my card (well not for my personal use - just commissions lol!).

Christmas, YIKES...I have my cards all planned out, in my head, LOL. How and when they get on paper, I am not sure. I love your color combos.
Oh WOW, these cards are great!!! I love these colors. AWESOME! I normally start working on my Xmas cards around this time as well. I finally have an idea of what I want to do so hopefully I can get started soon!
Wow, you got this wonderful kit at QVC? I need to go check it out....you ought to be on the DT for Cosmo Cricket because your work on these is outstanding and sure makes me want to have the kit!
