This is the AMAZING October Loud Talker kit that is the GRAND PRIZE for the Creepy, Crawly, Blog Stomp! It's filled with Sassafras goodness and amazing goodies! WOW, what a prize!
Now I want to share with you MY ghoulish project!! I made Halloween Treat Bags with Decorated Toppers! These are fun and very easy to make! This is an awesome project for kids to take to school for all of their friends!

I started off by gathering some fun Halloween papers (Haunted by Cosmo Cricket which are available in the Paper Popsicles online store, and they are on SALE today!!), snack size baggies, some cardstock, and some awesome Halloween stamps by Pink Paislee. And of course, there is CANDY!

I measured the width of the bag. My bag is 6.5" wide.

I'm going to make the base of the bag topper with cardstock, and I'm going to decorate it with patterned paper.

I cut my cardstock 6.5" wide, and I want it to be 1.5" tall, so I cut it 3" (half will be in front, and the other half will be in back.) I then score the 6.5" x 3" piece of cardstock at 1.5".

Then, I cut my patterned paper to mount on top of the topper sheet. So, this patterned paper was cut 6.25" x 1.25" so that it would sit matted on the bag topper front.

I fill the snack size baggie with candy, and I attach the cardstock topper. In order for it to stay secure during stapling, I add a little bit of adhesive to hold the bag in place.

I then staple three times. I make sure to staple to the front. I want the smooth edges of the staple in the back. I also make sure that I staple OVER the zip loc strip. This just makes it more secure.

If I planned on JUST decorating the front (which you can do if you want to save on patterned paper), I would want the SMOOTH part of the staple to the back. That way, no one can hurt their fingers on the staples.

Now, I stamp some fun Halloween stamps on scraps of paper. I love these Pink Paislee stamps! (BTW, these stamps are one of the MANY prizes during the blog stomp!!)

I add the patterned paper to the bag topper cardstock (hiding the staples!), and I add the cut out stamped images too. I also used my Cropadile to punch two holes in each topper, and I added some ribbon!

Here are my finished Halloween Treat Bags with Decorated Toppers! What do you think? I think they're SPOOKTACULAR!! You can click on any of the photos to see them larger.

I guess you want your other treat too? The treat on my blog is "SCREAM AND".

Now that you have been scared into the season, don’t forget to leave a comment, then head over to Amy's blog next!
