Silly Girls

I have one more layout to show you that I completed during the virtual crop last weekend at ScrapCity. This layout was for another challenge called "playing with a full deck?" and this time, we were challenged to use playing cards on our layout. I thought it was a fun challenge, and this is what I came up with.

I used Basic Grey paper. The "silly" are Bazzill alphabet playing cards that I've had for such a long time. They're perfect on this layout. The actual playing cards I used were really yellowed with age, and the Bazzill playing cards were such a crisp white, so I needed to distress them both with brown ink so that they would work together on the layout. The "girls" are Basic Grey alphabet cardstock stickers. I journaled on the computer, added some Primas, and I was done. I love this layout. It's cute, simple, and very appealing to me!

Well, I had my monster headache yesterday for pretty much the whole day, so I need to work on the scrapbook today. I would like to get at least another 10 pages done. I realized that I'm not going to be able to post any of it, because I wouldn't feel comfortable posting someone else's photos on my blog. I hope you all remembered to "spring ahead" on your clocks last night / this morning (if you have to deal with the time change). Losing that hour is always so strange to me! Have a great Sunday everyone. Thanks for stopping by!

Too cute! I love the way you used the playing cards. It's also good to see products that are "oldies but goodies" Sometimes I feel like if you don't use the latest and newest, your project is not as great. Great blog! I'll be back!

Carol, oh my goodness - you should definitely get the tapes (or Cd's) out from the library! - Stephen Fry reads them brilliantly!!
Love your layouts, by the way - and your girls are so cute!

the layout turned out great. I love the playing cards. That is a pretty cool idea for the future to use if they are not too aged. I have a ton of card decks every where - because we can never find them when we need them and always go buy another deck - lol

I love the color of the paper too!
