Forever Friends

This is a card I created for a design team entry. I'm sad to say, I did not make the design team.

The card base is white, the card front is black Cuttlebug embossed, and the pink layer was cut on my Cricut. The "forever friends" stamp is an Autumn Leaves circular sentiment. I cut both the circle and the circle mat with my Coluzzle. I added a couple of Primas with a Making Memories brad. The pink clip is Making Memories, and the last touch was white sheer ribbon. I really love this card!

I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday! Thanks for stopping by!

Love Chipboard Banner

Since I had my Cosmo Cricket QVC kit out to make my sketch card that I posted yesterday, I decided to create and hang this "Love" chipboard banner. I backed the pieces in red Cosmo Cricket paper, and then I laced all the pieces together. I added long pieces of ribbon to the ends so that I could hang it below my mantle.

On each circle, I added small photos of us. I really like the way this turned out! If you click on the photo, you can see it larger.

The "L" features Emily, myself, and Jessica. I also added the word "smile".

The "O" features Dave and a small photo of Princess. Above Dave, I added the word "love".

The "V" features my beautiful girls Emily and Jessica. Above Emily I added "all smiles", and under Jessica, I added "sweet". I also added small die cut flowers with rhinestone centers.

The "E" features Princess. I added small letter stickers that say "family", and I added "2007".

This is how it looks suspended under our mantle. I "love" it!

Happy Friday! Enjoy your day, have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Card Sketch #56

This is my card for Card Sketch #56 at Sketches {by Tamara!}. Take a look at what the other card design team members created. If you create a card using the sketch, be sure to link it back to Tamara's site. You could be a future guest designer!

For my card, I used my Cosmo Cricket QVC Today's Special Value kit that I got a while back. The card base, the sentiment, the photo corners, the red matting paper, and the chipboard flower are all from the kit. I added some ribbon, a brad, and DCWV rub-on border stitches. This card isn't really my style, but it's fun to create something that you normally wouldn't create once in a while!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Pajama Party & Breaking Dawn

Here is a fun page I recently created! My girls and I had a pajama party one cold January evening. It was so much fun!!

The papers are Basic Grey. I detail cut some flowers from one of the patterned paper sheets. I then added rhinestones for the flower centers. I did my journaling on the computer. The title and subtitles are letter stickers that I've had for quite some time. Gotta love using something up that you've had for a while!! Just a simple, fun page.

Well, I finished this last night. Oh my, it was so good! I LOVED it! I was a little obsessed with it. It was so hot and humid the last few days, that sitting and reading in the air-conditioned house was a GREAT activity!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Me

During a recent weekend online crop at ScrapCity, there was a challenge to create an "all about me" page. I had been meaning to do a page about myself, mostly because I'm always the one behind the camera. So, this is what I came up with!

I used DCWV All Dressed Up papers. I LOVE these papers! I used my threading water punch on the striped paper and created two border strips that I put under the large black floral piece. I added some white-stiched black ribbon to hide the seams. The glitter chipboard letters and flourish are Brenda Walton. I added a Prima flower stack with a glitter Making Memories brad. The journaling is hand-written on an awesome sheet of Making Memories Noteworthy notebook journaling paper. I got the notebook from my secret sister at ScrapCity, Tobey! Thank you so much Tobey! I love the little journaling notebook! So, that's my page . . . all about me!

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

the 4 of US!

I scrapped a photo from 2005 and posted it yesterday, and now here is one from 2007! I used to scrap strictly chronologically, but now? Not so much! However, I won't put them in my albums until I can do that in order!

I wanted to showcase this photo that was taken for Christmas 2007. To me, this is what Christmas is all about! There is nothing I would rather do than spend time with my family! I used Love, Elsie Noel papers, chipboard buttons, and ribbon. The paper is double-sided, and you can see both sides on my page. I also used a die cut sheet of Bazzill on top of red cardstock. I distressed the papers with chalk ink. The title was cut with my QuicKutz squeeze. I love the way this layout turned out!

I am totally engrossed in Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer! I got it on Saturday (thank YOU Amazon.com!), and I cannot put it down! I stayed up late last night reading it, and wow, is it good! Happy Monday to you all, and thanks for stopping by!

Love

This is a cute photo from November 2005 that was taken just a little over a week after we got Princess. The girls were and still are completely in love with our furry girl!

The papers and the flower die cut are My Mind's Eye Kaleidoscope. The gorgeous glitter chipboard letters are Brenda Walton. I wanted my journaling block to sparkle too, so I ran it through the Xyron putting adhesive on the written side, and then I added a fine glitter to it. I love the way it turned out! I used my threading water punch a lot on this page! I love that punch! Last, I added two buttons. I really like the addition of the small heart button on the title.

Well, I actually visited some blogs last night, and I hope to get to some more today! I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, and thanks for stopping by!

Card Trio

I made these cards for a challenge at ScrapCity. The challenge was to create three cards using the same papers.

I loved using "slab" papers for cards, because the coordinated papers are already put together for you! These papers came from a My Mind's Eye slab that I got from Hobby Lobby. Not only did I use the same papers (a stripe, a dotted, and a solid), but I used the same flowers, the same brads, and the same two stamp sets on all three cards. I really love the way they turned out, and this color scheme really appeals to me.

I just got done cutting the grass (yuck!), and I need to get moving with my Saturday. I'm still so behind on blog hopping . . . I say that every day . . . sorry! I will get caught up soon. I hope you enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!!

Basic Grey Euphoria cards

I was the July card guest designer at ScrapCity, and Wendy sent me beautiful Basic Grey Euphoria goodies to create some cards. I posted one card that I made yesterday for my sketch challenge, and here are the rest. I love the Basic Grey Euphoria line! Just gorgeous!

I'm still behind on blog hopping. I apologize! There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day! I will catch up with all of you as soon as I can! Have a wonderful Friday, a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
