Totally Cool

I posted a couple of days ago about my purchases from Archiver's. Well, my blogging friend Kristy commented that she couldn't wait to see me use some of my goodies, and then she challenged me to create a scrapbook page. Challenge ACCEPTED Kristy! I created this page yesterday using new stuff!

I used lots of the Love, Elsie Roxie items. I even used two of the ribbons in the small bobbin pack, and I stamped two images with the clear acrylic stamps. I got some new Autumn Leaves journaling stamps for Christmas, and I used the circle for my journaling. "Totally" and some photo corners were cut on my QuicKutz squeeze. I also added some black rhinestones. I love the way this page turned out, and it's quite a concept for me to actually USE my new stuff. I love having new stuff, but I usually don't USE it for quite some time!

One of my creative resolutions is to get back to my scrapbooking in 2008. Another is to USE my stuff (I tend to hoard my wonderful goodies). I love to scrapbook, and I haven't created pages in quite some time, so it was totally fun for me to make one. Little did Kristy know that her challenge tied in with two of my resolutions!! Thanks for stopping by!

I love your layout! It's very cool! Like you, I love buying new stuff but don't use them. One of my resolution is to use anything I buy the week I purchase them or at least part of them.

My other resolution is to scrapbook a layout a week! I think we're on the same page on this one!!

Fab LO those papers are fab and great photos. Unfortunately Harvey had a tumour on the wall of his heart and nothing could be done. I'll really miss taking him for walks and my dog will miss chasing through the fields with him.

This page IS totally cool. What a neat photo and the images you've used are perfect. LOVE your lettering too! One of my new year's resolutions involves scrap booking as well. I'm going to combine it with collage. Can't wait to see more of your work! :0) Mel

So cute! Part of the beauty of Elsie is that it's not too frilly so the pic of your hubby works well with it.
